Turbo: Super Stunt Squad (Wii U)
21 August 2013
Excerpt: Turbo: Super Stunt Squad is based off of the movie Turbo, which is about a snail who dreams of being fast and gets his wish granted in an unusual way. Sadly, the game has no story mode, so those who have not seen the movie will not understand the plot or the significance of the six playable locations.
Pros: Same voice acting and characters from the movie
Cons: No story, lame racing mode, and bland graphics
Summary: If you’re wondering if Turbo: Super Stunt Squad may be worth your time, you need only look upon the scores of licensed games that already exist in the world in order to find your answer. Monkey Bar Games attempts to take the characters of the movie and let them goof around in a gameplay setting not unlike that of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater , though with harsh time restrictions and rocket powered snails that don’t appear to move all that fast.
Summary: Parents need to know that Turbo: Super Stunt Squad is a movie-based racer with stunts moves that can be performed when you snail in in the air from banking. The Wii, DS, and 3DS versions contain some "comic mischief" that is not present in the other console versions. There's nothing in the game worth raising an eyebrow over, other than characters dropping salt from under their body to imply feces.
