Game Party Champions

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Game Party Champions is the first Wii U game I have ever played. It is wonderful to see this franchise move from the Wii to the Wii U. There are only eight arcade games in Game Party Champions though. There is a story that families will find interesting. A good friend encourages us to play these games.

Game Party Champions review (WIIU)

15 December 2012
  • Excerpt: However, the game is more challenging for newcomers than the developers likely intended, mostly due to the control scheme. The game simply requires more precision from the touch pad than it allows. For instance, the Basketball attraction features three hoops that move toward the screen, then recede or spin.

Arcade-style sports mini-games fail to deliver the fun.

Common Sense Media
14 December 2012
  • Summary: Parents need to know that Game Party Champions is a collection of several sports-themed arcade-style mini-games. This includes shooting basketballs into a hoop, completing a round of mini-golf, playing a Skee Ball-type game, and competing in table hockey or ping pong. The game is best when played with up to three other players, as everyone competes to see who can get the highest scores.

Official Nintendo Magazine
17 January 2013
  • Excerpt: Game Party Champions' box cover features various sporting items hurtling out from a large, golden logo. Alongside a table tennis bat and a golf club, there are balls of all shapes and sizes: an American football, a baseball, a golf ball, a basketball, and a polished wooden ball of the kind used in end-of-the-pier attractions. It's all very dynamic, but what are you left with when all those spherical objects land? That's right: a big old pile of balls.

Game Party Champions (Wii U) Review

8 January 2013
  • Excerpt: The completely generic name Game Party Champions should have been the first clue.  This new mini-game compilation is a spiritual successor to 2010’s Game Party: In Motion found on the Xbox 360.  While In Motion wasn’t critically well received, with an all-new developer at the helm this time around one would hope that Game Party Champions would be an improvement.  Nope.  I have just experienced the single worst gaming experience of my reviewing career.

Nintendo Life
20 December 2012
  • Summary: Game Party Champions is – to put it nicely – a bad game. We’re not even venturing into “so bad that it’s good” territory, either. We’re way past that. On the shelves on Wii U launch day, you could pick up any other title for just a few pounds more than the asking price of this. Alternatively, you could have not bothered buying any games, and still had more fun than if you’d walked out of the store with Game Party Champions.

Un party qui ne lève pas...

2 March 2014

Game Party Champions

2 March 2013
  • Summary: Ja, neben wenigen Highlights gibt es einige dröge Minispielsammlungen da draußen.

Game Party Champions Review

3 February 2013
