  • Summary: The deadspace on the controller thumb stick is to large, it makes it feel laggy when playing it. I hope they fix it.

Not your typical Nintendo game (in a good way)

Charles W Cheek III, Amazon
11 March 2015
  • Summary: The Wii U has so comparatively few games I was surprised to see this one. I played the Original Deus Ex on PC back in 2000 and have been hooked on the game universe since then. Lots of swearing in this game, so the "M" rating is justified. I don't play it when my 11 year old is around.

Wyatt, Amazon

  • Summary: A decent game, but it's not exactly the type that you can just jump right in and play with no warm-up. Its got cool mechanics and such but it can be hard to get used to. It's extremely stealth-based as well and any frontal-assaults you try to pull off will guarantee you a swift death.

User Review

rodericrinehart, Metacritic
7 February 2015
  • Summary: Stunning game with story as good as gameplay. It is on the same level of quality as Dishonored, which to me means that both are just phenomenal games that any gamer should play through in their entirety.

Great game overall

Drewford, Amazon
6 February 2015
  • Summary: I'm a late comer to the Deus Ex series, but since it gets great reviews I decided to give DE:HR a shot on Wii U. I am generally not a fan of stealth shooters, but this game also offers a lot of RPG elements as well as a really good cover system for combat or just sneaking past enemies.

Eh - skip this one.

Handy Boston Dad "photo geek", Amazon

  • Summary: I love games like Assassin Creed, Splinter Cell or Sniper Elite. This one has a neat story and rather complex game play - where you slowly upgrade yourself with powers and tech. Its my least favorite shooter game however and stopped playing it after a 8-10 hours of game play.

  • Summary: I loved the original Deus Ex on PC so I decided to try this one out and it is a great game that gets better the second time played through. There are a few problems with autosave starting the player out in tight spots, but it is the directors cut. The game is a lot of fun and the story is good.

The game itself is wonderful, if a bit old

P. Somers, Amazon
30 December 2014
  • Summary: The game itself is wonderful, if a bit old. For the wii u edition in particular, the gamepad addition is very well done and does not feel tacked on. It's used for things like inventory management, upgrades, in-game books/letters/emails, hacking minigame, etc.

Excellent Game That Takes Advantage of the Wii U's Capabilities

Jason Smalley, Amazon
30 December 2014
  • Summary: While I can't compare it to other versions available, the Wii U version of Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director's Cut is excellent. I love the story and the intricately detailed and immersive world you can explore with your character.

One of the few 3rd party 1st person shooter games and it looks great on the Wii U

Gamerrr72, Amazon
20 December 2014
  • Summary: The Wii U is my only gaming system so when this game was available as a port, I grabbed it. One of the few 3rd party 1st person shooter games and it looks great on the Wii U. There is a learning curve to the controls and you can change to customize what's comfortable for you.
