Excerpt: Just Great! Almost all main characters from Nintendo in a Super Battle Game! This is Super Smash Bros.! *Storyline The game doesn't have a "storyline", but has some explanation: A "misterious hand" make some toy dolls to have life (don't ask me how, I don't have any idea... and I think Nintendo doesn't either!), and, with no proposit or apparent reason, mekes them to start fighting in a championship, in order to the champion fight it.
Excerpt: This is a real original Nintendo game. Even with its simple 2-D graphics it is a cut above any multiplayer game I have ever seen. Well I suppose it is the basic plot of the game that makes it so much fun. I mean who could not find beating up that pathetic plumber known as Mario. Smashing him round the face with a baseball bat. Bombing him into oblivion. What could be more amusing??
Excerpt: Super Smash Brothers is a game that the N64 has been waiting for. It has all the loveable characters that made Nintendo what it is today and the best thing is that they can all beat the crap out of each other. Unlike most fighting games, you don't have a specific amount of health. The object of the game to knock your opponent out of the level and make them fall to their doom. Each time you hit them, it weakens them so they will fly further the next time you hit them.
Excerpt: OK, I know this game is over a year old, but I finally got a chance to play it recently (I don't get to play many N64 games anymore; no one seems to want to play N64 these days) and just had to review it. Hopefully I can still give you all the information possible, especially considering . You gotta give Nintendo credit for one thing: they have an incredible knack for giving us the unexpected. Like in Metroid on the NES when we learned that Samus Aran was a woman.
Excerpt: Super Smash Bros. is a beat em' up game with (like Mario Kart 64) has alot of the Nintendo characters of the past and present. This game has been rated for everyone, but I would advise you would be over 5 years of age before you start to play. The controls are fairly easy to master but you can get very frustrated with them as well.
Excerpt: I first remember hearing of this game way back in an old issue of N64 magazine (in its glory days), I think they had reviewed the Japanese release. I remember the magazine printing a little form for its readers to fill in if they wanted desperately to see the game released on these shores. Then they would send them off to Nintendo and wait for the results.
Excerpt: This is THE beat-em-up on the N64. You can, for those misguided among you that don't like Pokemon, beat up Pikachu with Donkey Kong. If you want a beat-em-up for the N64 this is the one to get. Although those hardcore beat-em-uppers won't like its cartoony style, this is a challenging and enthralling game. As well as the eight normal characters, there are four extra ones to get.
Excerpt: Super Smash Bros. Along with Mario Kart and GoldenEye this is an essential game for multiplayer lovers. It is basically a beat em-up with classic Nintendo characters and wild weapons. The game also features unique scoring system where being beaten up raises your percentage, and the higher your percentage the easier it is to be knocked out of the arena (literally!) This may sound complicated but trust me it's a lot easier when your playing the game. Smash Bros.
Excerpt: Super Smash Brothers is a completely unique fighting game that allows up to four players to beat the living daylights out of each other! (incidentally, I just spent the last hour typing a review for this which didn't submit :( so if there anything missing from this review write a commentary and I'll update it) Smash Brothers tears up the Beat-em up rulebook and writes its own rules, gone are complex combos and a large amount of special moves.
Excerpt: Is it the characters who make this game a winner? Is it the special moves which are relevant for each character? Is it the brilliant battles for up to four players? Is it the chance to battle using Jigglypuff? It is all of these things that make it a winner. You can play as your favourite Nintendo characters including Mario, Samus, Link, Aran, DK, Kerby and much more including Pikachu. Every battle moves at such a rate, it's hard to keep up with it yourself.
