Excerpt: Well what can i say, this game was a hit when it first hit the stores. This was the game that made the N64 famous. Luckily it was the consoles first game. This game has great graphics for a N64 game, especially an early N64 game. Plus features a very large variety of levels, a total of 15 courses each being very large in size, and having secrets of its own. This game will keep you busy for a long time, probably one of the longest lasting games you can get on the N64.
Pros: Great Gameplay, Great Graphics, has a good set of music and sound effects
Cons: No Disadvantages to this game, except lack of multiplayer .
Excerpt: Super Mario 64 was the first ever super Mario game to be presented in 3D. Many, many gamers couldn't wait until the day super Mario 64 was released was it going to be a smash hit just like his previous 2D games, or was it going to be a disaster. Of course it turned out to be amazing the way Mario moved brilliantly in 3D, his moves he could perform whilst shouting words with glee ya! wahoo! yipee!!
Pros: Outstanding 3D platforming, excellent music, classic mario charm, loads of varied challenges
Excerpt: The N64 is a classic games console, and one of the last to produce cartridge based games including the unforgettable Super Mario 64, which was the launch title for the game console in the beginning. It was also one of the first 3D Platformer games to be invented, giving players a lot more control over Mario’s actions including, walking, running, jumping, crouching, crawling, swimming, climbing and punching, by using the analogue stick and buttons on the controller.
Pros: classic N64 game, more control over Mario's actions than previous mario games, fun
Marios first foray into the third dimension is absolutely classic
18 June 2010
Excerpt: Mario 64 was Mario’s first outing into the world of 3D. But it was more than just Mario’s first 3D platform game. It was the first true platform game to enter the third dimension too. Just as Shigeru Miyamoto created a new genre with Donkey Kong (as well as Jumpman, later to become Mario), he revolutionised this genre with Mario 64. From the beginning it is clear this game is going to be fun. On the start screen is Mario’s face.
Pros: A truly classic title that still stands up as a brilliant game today
Cons: Controls do feel slightly clunky compared with more modern Mario titles
Excerpt: When the N64 console was released way back in 1997, Nintendo needed a strong game to attract the gaming audience. Who better to rely on then, than that vertically challenged Italian plumber, Mario, who almost single-handedly made the Nes and the Snes consoles a worldwide success. Mario 64 was a brave move for Nintendo, a game designed to show off the consoles graphical prowess, this was the first Mario game to forage into the world of 3D landscapes.
Excerpt: My experience with the game Mario 64 is one of the best gaming experiences I have had in my lifetime of playing computer games. I have owned this game for more than 10 years and still find myself playing it. From the first moment I played Super Mario 64 and an Nintendo 64 which the game is played through I was in awe at the graphics, everything being very colourful and most objects represented using simple shapes and textures.
Pros: Nostalgic, great for kids, excellent score, long gameplay and massive worlds .
Cons: Some very difficult tasks, camera annoying and music repeated
Excerpt: From hate to love, this has been the impression that was planted inside my mind by the 16 bits super Nintendo Mario versions. In my own verdict on the super Nintendo Mario versions, I will say that definitely this one of the worst game I have ever encountered if not even the worst. The 16 bit Mario version made me to hate any thing Mario. Why is this so? A lot of things contributed to this.
Pros: : GOOD GAME GRAPHICS, SUITABLE FOR EVERY ONE AND MANY STAGES AVAILABLE .
Excerpt: *Prelude* Welcome to the first of my new series of reviews: Wii 'em And Weep! With the launch of the Wii console, Nintendo is offering gamers the chance to re-live classic gaming memories, or create new ones, with the inclusion of the Virtual Console. This will allow players to download games released for previous generation consoles including the NES, SNES, N64 and SEGA Megadrive. For a small price, of course.
Pros: Revolutionary for it's time, still fantastic after all these years
Excerpt: I am in the mood to review a computer game, one I have a fairly good knowledge of but one that hasn't been reviewed several hundred times before me. So I was astonished to discover that Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 had not been reviewed much at all. Before launching straight in to the game's aspects I will give a little background detail on this game, and my experience. Place yourself back in to the year 1996.
Pros: Fun to play/ Can be brought cheap/ Family fun
Excerpt: This is the first review that I have done in my change of colour orange. I hope that it is useful. As I have now become orange, I thought I might change the style of my reviewing, depending if I like doing this style of writing is depending if I stick with it or not. This is a review on the classic game Super Mario 64, for the Nintendo 64. It is far the best Mario game that I have played, and the most entertaining.
Pros: Graphics | Originality | Gameplay | Its a mario game . . .
