Average game, not to my taste.

Excerpt: Ok well lets start with the good: The game contains a good amount of levels, and also contains various ships in order to carry out those missions in. The game is also entirely in 3D, although the game doesnt look too good due to the N64's naturally low resolution.
Pros: good amount of missions and ships
Cons: No multiplayer, difficult controls, repetitive
Excerpt: The best flight game on the N64! Rogue Squadron has a brilliant mix of game play and spaceships. The levels are varied and al different. There is an awesome array of ships for you to take control of. There are all the ships from the movies such as the X-Wing and the Snowspeeder and A-Wing.
Excerpt: Lets cast our minds back here… Remember the days when the N64 was named Project Reality? When the graphical capabilities of the Playstation were god-like compared to all that stood before it? When the Re-mastered Star Wars were still top of the film charts? You should do it was only a few years ago!
Excerpt: After the not too good Shadows Of The Empire, Lucasarts had to come up with something better well they did. The game is set within Star Wars: A New Hope (The first film) and the Empire Strikes Back.
Pros: Good controls, well designed levels, fly star wars crafts
Not just for star Wars fans. An excellent shooter.

Excerpt: Rogue Squadron was the second game to be produced for the N64 from the Star Wars franchise, and in my opinion is the best of them. It is a well-thought out flying shoot-em-up, which is initially a bit hard to pick up, but once you get into it, it can be an enormously rewarding game to play.
Pros: An excellent, well - thought out game with a high addictiveness factor
Cons: Can be slightly frustrating early on, no multi - player
Excerpt: But it has just changed. No more dodgy games prduced on this hard to get license, as LucasArts has finally realised what we want! This is by far the best flying game I have ever played, and by even further the best Star Wars game ever! You lead a small band of rebels, playing as Luke Skywalker.
Excerpt: This game is great and brings out all the action packed action of star wars. As you fly through the air bombing ground troops and circling the aircraft you need to protet. The game features only a single player option but it is enough to keep you happy for a long time.
Excerpt: After the mish-mash of Shadows of the Empire, Factor 5 studios adhere to the maxim "Do one thing and do it well." In this case a great fun Star Wars fighter. While much more simplistic than, say, X Wing v Tie Fighter, the graphics are sharp and clear, especially when you have an expansion pack.
Excerpt: If you're a fan of star wars then you'll love this. I say that because I'm not a fan and I still love this game. Each level is different and offers new and exciting missions to try your hand at. Beware though, the missions do get hard - very hard.
Excerpt: ...But a good one at that, you aren't really subjected to alot of Sci-Fi fans over-knowledge of the Starwars triliogy, and as airborne shoot 'em ups go its pretty good. There are plenty of missions to get your teeth into, with many different targets to aim for and there are also a variety of crafts...
