Star Wars - Rogue Squadron (N64): Average game, not to my taste.
6 January 2010
Summary: Ok well lets start with the good: The game contains a good amount of levels, and also contains various ships in order to carry out those missions in. The game is also entirely in 3D, although the game doesnt look too good due to the N64's naturally low resolution. Now onto the bad: The game doesnt feature any multiplayer whatsoever, though this isnt really an expected feature in such a game.
Pros: good amount of missions and ships
Cons: No multiplayer, difficult controls, repetitive
Star Wars - Rogue Squadron (N64): I sense much play in this

Summary: Finally, a good star wars game on the N64. First we had the terrible Shadows of the empire but now we have a true, Star Wars feeling game. The game is set in between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." So all of your loved characters are here. From Luke Skywalker to Chewbacca. Instead of missions being of different types such as flying missions, 3rd person shooters and riding speeder bikes, Rogue Squadron sticks to the basic shoot em up idea.
Pros: Good flight simulator. Expansion pak enhanced. Talking friends. Loads of ships to pilot.
Cons: Some fogging. Linear missions. No multiplayer.
Star Wars - Rogue Squadron (N64): Hard but you just keep trying

Summary: I have played and played this game until my fingers hurt. I think that it has got great playablity, yet it still retains a certain amount of difficulty. Rogue Squadrons graphics are well on the bricky side it looks like it is running in 640x400dpi. The levels can be come tedious if you keep dying but the music does get you into that star wars feel. The cut scenes sometimes are just too long to watch, the good thing is, you can skip them.
Summary: This game is fun to pick up and play, but for a game that you can't put down I don?t think this one fits the bill. It is an average game with good graphics (except the fog in which is very bad) but the control is hard and very frustrating. There are lots of missions and the lasting appeal is good but I soon found myself a bit annoyed with one bit that was too hard, not because it was a difficult game but because the control system was a bit uncontrollable.
