Summary: One of the things that made the original Ridge Racer so appealing, was the 'techno' style soundtrack. Whilst not to everyone's taste, the up tempo nature of the tunes were perfectly suited to the fast paced gameplay. Despite not having the advantage of a CD-ROM drive, the N64 renditions of the in-game tunes are surprisingly authentic. Overall, Ridge Racer 64 is a title that will appeal to pretty much anyone who owns a Nintendo 64.
Summary: This game actually had me quite excited, it had good graphics, fast gameplay and cool cars. Or so said some of the reviews I was stupid enough to read. Firstly, the graphics are nowhere near what I wouldclassify as "good". They aren't much better than Cruis'n USA and that is without doubt the crappiest racing game I have ever had the misfortune to play.
