  • Excerpt: Plot Once again King Bowser the koopa King is up to no good not only is he up to his usual antics of stealing princess peach, but he has also stolen the entire Royal castle, uprooting it from the ground and flying it into the upper atmosphere far from the reach of Mario and his friends. Bowser seems to have managed this with the help of Kame Koopa a magical itch Koopa whom on Bowsers behalf has stolen the magical Star Rod a magical wand with limitless powers.

  • Excerpt: Paper Mario fo rthe N64 originally very hard to get hold of in the UK. It is now haowever available for download from the Wii shop Virtual Console on the nintendo Wii. I missed this one the first time round when I owned an N64, and recently downloaded it to my Wii. Well just how addictive can one game be. I have spend hours playing this, and so has my 7 year old son. A must for Mario fans and RPG lovers alike.

Superb Mario adventure with a new style of gameplay

  • Excerpt: When I first saw this game on a tv show, it looked a bit too childish for my liking. I loved Mario 64, but this just seemed to be geared at a much younger demographic and therefore I expected it too be far too easy. Not only that, but I thought it would be more of the same Mario-fare that has been around for ages and would offer nothing new to the plumber's adventures. Well, I was very wrong on both counts.

  • Excerpt: I have written Paper Mario review before (not on here) now I’ve completed the game so I suppose it isn’t a bad idea doing another with further insight to the greatest game the N64 has seen in 2001 (bar Conker of course). You see it looks like a kiddies game, the characters are made out of paper for Christ’s sake and the storyline sounds as if it has been ripped straight from a fairy tale but don’t let this childish image put you off this is the only RPG the N64 has and...

  • Excerpt: Bowser has stolen the star rod, he has imprisoned the 7 star elders, he has lifted princess Peach’s castle high into space and has defeated Mario. All is lost but he has been helped back on to his feet and sets on a quest to gain enough power to defeat Bowser and his star rod by releasing the 7 star elders. Mario is 2D or “paper” like and stuck in a 3D world absolutely ingenious.

  • Excerpt: Paper Mario – the stuff N64 games should be made of Ever thought of an RPG? An RPG starring Mario and other characters, new and old, from the Mario and Luigi series? An turn-style based RPG in which you hit koopa troopas on the head with big mallets, jump on them or set a fire-flower on them, yet still with all the graphical animation of a 3D Mario game, but where that characters are seemingly made of paper? Well, now you have!

Paper Mario - Miyamotos Jump & RPG

Cava_2, Ciao
19 September 2006
  • Summary: Paper Mario für das betagte Nintendo 64 erschien 2001 als der inoffizielle Nachfolger zum SNES-Rollenspielhit Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
  • Pros: Spielwelt, Bedienung, Szenario, Umsetzung
  • Cons: teils etwas kindisch, einmal Durchspielen reicht

Kampf um den Sternenstab

juni79, Ciao
1 June 2006

  • Pros: Gute Story, abwechslungsreiche Orte, Rollenspiel - Elemente, Nebenquests, Rollenspiel - Freiheit .
  • Cons: Zu viele Kämpfe .
