Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask (N64): Phenomenally Written Game!
28 October 2011
Summary: This game gets its share of mixed reviews by people my age who grew up with the series. I have no idea why! The game drops you into Link as he has just left Hyrule and you are catapulted straight into a tense, moody, dark and symbolic plot as things to start to go wrong for him. This journey is beautiful to play because if you look past the superficial playing, you start to see some beautiful parallels to life and impressive, realistic characters.
Pros: Great mechanics, incredible plot, strong characters
Summary: Majora's mask take place a few months after the events of Ocarina of Time. You again play as Link and although movement controls, art style and many of the weapons are the same, there are many new developments from the previous game in the Zelda series. *Plot* At the start of the game, Link is traveling in search of an old friend when he meets a masked Skull kid, who stelas his horse then turns him into a Deku Scrub.
Pros: Great story, new powers, hours of gameplay
Cons: Story not quite as engaging as Ocarina of Time
Summary: An underrated masterpiece in the Zelda universe. Set after the events of Ocarina of Time, Majora's mask follows young Link in search of Navi - his only friend in the world. On that dark note, Skull Kid whilst wearing Majora's mask attacks Link, steals Epona and turns him into a Deku Scrub. Link's not happy for he looks like a lump of scary wood. He chases after Skull Kid and finds himself in the land of Termina.
Pros: Darkest Zelda created with stunning character development
Summary: An amazing sequel to an amazing game. Majora's Mask takes most of the best parts of Ocarina of Time and makes them better. In this game you play as Link as he tries to save the world of Termina, the story spans over 3 days although to complete the game you must go back in time and relive these days over and over again.
Pros: Wide storyline and alot to do
Cons: Not as many dungeons as past games in the series, might be scary for younger children
Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask (N64): Another great Zelda game
12 June 2009
Summary: I still play this game. I get my old N64 down from the top of my wardrobe, dust it off and start playing. If you love the Zelda games and especially loved Ocarina of time (OOT) then you will love this game. The more recent Zelda games are, don't get me wrong, brilliant, but Majoras Mask and OOT on the N64 are the best and thankfully, when Twilight Princess was released on the Gamecube and Wii it was great to see the creators create a game similar to that of the two on...
Pros: Great game, graphics and a tune that will keep you humming for days
Cons: Brilliant but not as good as Ocarina of Time
Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask (N64): Time is an Illusion
14 September 2008
Summary: After the truly epic and wonderful "Ocarina of Time", Nintendo were going to have a pretty hgh standard to beat. "Majora's Mask", in my opinion, does meet that standard - but in a very different way. The Legend of Zslda series of games has been alive is the late 80s. The basic concept is that a young, forest dwelling boy called Link is pulled into a series of adventures, quests, dungeons, puzzles, mysteries and general excitements.
Pros: Excellent concept, familiar feel, yet different, well made "sequel" of sorts
Cons: The time travelling can be annoying at times!
Summary: If anybody considers themselves to an expert on games then they have to know about the Zelda series. So without farther delay here is the rarer N64 Zelda title with a all new strange theme to it: With the death of the N64 approaching at that time, Nintendo actually releases another Zelda sequel to the dying system. Nintendo didn't even release a second Zelda game for the Super Nintendo!
Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask (N64): An excellent follow-up to Ocarina of Time
17 March 2006
Summary: I bought this game about 2 years after it first came out. Before buying it, I had read online about the storyline and thought it would be a great game to play sinc I had loved Ocarina of Time. The game continued on from Ocarina, with Link leaving Hyrule. He ends up in Termina, a land parallel to Hyrule, as it says in the instructions. When you first arrive there, you have been transformed into a Deku Scrub by the Skull Kid.
Pros: Ability to become a deku scrub, goron, zora or deity
Summary: When Nintendo brought out what we all thought was to be the best RPG/Adventure game ever The Ocarina of Time Nintendo kicks us in the ghoulies and shoves this into our little N64 machines. The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask The sequel to the greatest RPG we have ever seen is here and it kicks butt. One of the best game out of the best series. A huge must buy for your N64 collection, before the release of the GameCube.
Pros: Great Graphics, Huge enivroments, Brilliant new Gameplay
