Excerpt: "...of the third-person action-adventure game, Jet Force Gemini.* Jet Force Gemini sees you taking on the evil tyrant of Mizar in a battle across the universe, and although the story, aimed at children (above the age of eleven - thanks ELSPA), can seem silly in places, the plot twists are simply stupid: [SPOILERS] When an asteroid is set on a collision course with Earth, an ancient starship is needed as the Jet Force ships won't be able to get there ...
Excerpt: "...Rare Master Piece that is Jet Force Gemini. There are bits in every game that many of us would like to improve and JFG is no exception, the character jumps using the C-up button, it seems fairly logical as the A and B buttons are used to switch the weapons. But it can be annoying as the N64 pad isn’t very easy to navigate, especially for some young gamers. The main storyline in the game is that the Tribals, little fluffy Teddy bear types ...
Jet Force Gemini (N64): JFG - The N64's best shoot 'em up/Adventure game?
23 September 2001
Summary: Jet Force Gemini. Huge and 3D, with big guns. The best shoot 'em up adventure game I have ever played. Some awesome graphics, sounds and storyline considering it is a shoot-em up. First you will see a cut scene showing Juno, Vela and Lupus in their ship when they see on their screen Mizar's drone's killing, torturing and capturing the evil tribals.
Pros: Great Graphics, Long gaming, Some awesome sound effects
Summary: This is a poor game. Poor is an understatement. Rare have given use excellent games like Goldeneye and CBFD, but this is reallt really bad.. Killer instinct gold was one of rares first N64 games and that was average, but this is worse. It is one of the most repetitive games every made. Sometimes this is ok, when good things are repeated, but this is bad things repeated. The storyline is terrible. You've played 1 level, you've played all 150 of them.
Summary: Jet Force Gemini is a brilliant shooting game. It has numerouse weapons and is funily violent. Firstly there are many weapons ranging from you basic pistol to the flame thrower. Some of the best are the sniper rifle, machine gun and tri rocket launcher. If you don't like ants then this is the game for you. The main enemys are hure hordes of ants. They die very quickly and you can collect their heads for cheats. The main objective of the game is to rescure tribals.
Summary: Why is it many don’t see the attraction of Jet Force Gemini? You play a group of young people (and a dog) Lupus, Juno and Vela and fight against the evil ant army. It is absolutely brilliant and has probably some of the greatest graphics you will ever see. Sounds childish well your wrong the game is filled with gore and guns and to gain cheats and extras you have to collect heads!
Jet Force Gemini (N64): Rare Cook Up Another Treat
24 June 2001
Summary: The boys at Twycross have the gaming world in their pocket. Regardless of the game genre, no-one does it better then England's own Rareware. They've proved it with platform games such as Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo Tooie, with racing games like Diddy Kong Racing and Mickey's USA Speedway, and, of course, no-one does the shoot-em-up quite like Rare, just play Goldeneye if you don't believe me. So Jet Force Gemini then.
Excerpt: "...best the adventure aspects of Jet Force Gemini are equal to if not better than those in Banjo-Kazooie. With tons to find and do this game is packed to the gills with extras, each of the games three characters has different abilities so at times it is like you have three different games! The mad-cap blasting fits perfectly with the exploration, the enemies are very intelligent and there is always lots to consider before you rush into the action. It ...
Pros: Great characters, lots to do, awsome action, brilliant A . I .
Cons: A bit tough, rubbish story, boring weapons .
Summary: Those guys at Rare really know what they're doing. They provide with such games as, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo and Kazooie and Diddy Kong Racing. With all these excellent games flying about, they have to be sure that there next game will live up to the reputation Rare have built for themselves. So the big question is, Does Jet Force Gemini live up to what we expect? In plain and simple terms, it does. It is hours of bug blasting at it's best.
Pros: Bug blasting mayhem. Good graphics. Loads of weapons. Surround Sound encoded.
Jet Force Gemini (N64): JFG: what's all the fuss about?
6 March 2001
Summary: Jet Force Gemini is a shooting/adventure game for the Nintendo 64. It was released a year or so ago and has received much praise. I for one can't see what all the fuss is about. Firstly, it was developed by Rare, who you should know by now make great games. Their software history includes Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64, and Banjo Kazooie etc... You get the point, these guys make excellent games. They are like what Squaresoft or Namco are to the Playstation.
