Excerpt: All star baseball 99 is a great game, a great concept and well programmed. In case you haven't already guessed, the game allows you to play baseball (surprise surprise), and allows you to bat, pitch and field. The pitching aspect is handled excellently, with the option for fastballs, curveballs, changeups, sliders, knuckleballs, forkballs, screwballs, splitfingered fastballs, spit fastballs, amongst other famous baseball pitches.
Pros: Original concept, great depth
Cons: Not everyone will get on with the control methods

The game includes the entire 1999 roster and stats of more than 700 Major League Baseball players as well as all 30 teams and stadiums. There are severel different modes of play: season, single-game, spring-training, playoffs, World Series, All-Star game, and Home Run Derby.
