It would be a decent game if you could go fast and get some big air and tricks, but sadly you can't.

  • Excerpt: The first thing i thought of when i played this game was 'Wow this is really hard!'. And i still thought that after a couple more attempts at the first race, but eventually i was able to beat my opponent. Once you get the hang of the game, it really isn't all that hard, sure there are a few close calls here and there, especially when its your first time on a certain track, but you generally pull through.

I'm going back to snowboard kids it's not worth risking a 1080 trick!

  • Excerpt: This was one of my brother's Nintendo games, but when he first got it I had the chance to sneak on it and have a game! But however, when I first played the game I knew it was all about snowboarding and snowboarding wasn't really something I was into - as I am more of a skiing person! When it came to controls it was quite difficult and they were tricky to get used to.

This game is back into the forefront of gamers minds as you can get it through the wii

  • Excerpt: This game (available for download on the wii) is great fun, I played it on the N64 back in the day and when it became available for the wii I was glad to pick it back up again. Its challenging but the further you get the more there is to do. This above all else gives you a chance to hone your skills before being thrown into harder more competitive levels.

  • Excerpt: This is a review of the Gamecube edition of the 1080 snowboarding series: Is this the coolest Nintendo game ever? I don’t honestly believe I played a Nintendo game quite like this. Despite the game being utterly fantastic, despite the iced appearance of Mario and despite featuring that special finish only Nintendo can manage, 1080 feels, looks and plays like a top of the range “cool” Playstation title, forget SSX3, ignore Amped 2...

  • Excerpt: Well we're on to biger and better things now I've got a PS2 but this is still a classic! 1080! What a game, there is a lot to say about this and I intend to get it all off my chest. The game is a bit special to me, I do not have an N64 down in London with me so I only get use of one when I visit the family, this is usually only 2 or 3 times a year so I relish the opportunity of getting my hands on it.

  • Excerpt: 1080 Snowboarding is one of the best snowboarding games available on any system. It's an exhilarating-looking game with a great combo-driven trick system and tracks that are actually fun to race. It also requires a lot more skill than most of the competition. Graphically, 1080 delivers smooth, evenly scrolling downhill tracks and half pipes. There's little, if any, polygon dropout in the riders, the backgrounds, or the tracks.

1080 Snowboarding

  • Excerpt: "...literally, that’s what they did. 1080 Snowboarding can be best described as Wave Race 64… in the snow. 1080 retains the same options and game play modes that were featured in Wave Race 6. Miyamoto and the design team did obtain new licenses for this wintry racing game. As mentioned, Nintendo signed on Lamar to provide models of their Snow boards for use in the game (my favorite being the Tahoe 155). Not only did they manage to obtain usage ...
  • Pros: great tricks
  • Cons: too similar to wave race

  • Excerpt: The Wave Race 64 team is at it again, and this time its on the snow slopes. Miyamoto took the genious design team possibly made the best N64 racer, and exchanged the Kawasaki Jet-Ski’s for Lamar Snow boards. No, literally, that’s what they did. 1080 Snowboarding can be best described as Wave Race 64… in the snow. 1080 retains the same options and game play modes that were featured in Wave Race 6.

  • Excerpt: "...have tried to do with 1080 Snowboarding. It is designed to fill the extreme sports section of the Nintendo 64's game library and give the console some much needed depth. 1080 Snowboarding is relatively easy to get to grips with. The controls have been designed with fun and accurate gameplay in mind. To jump you must press the A button and the height of your jump is affected by the amount of time you hold the A button down for. If you tap the button ...
