Summary: Fantastic purchase. Very easy set-up. My wifi speeds went from 6 Mbps--> 35-40 Mbps. I bought these to extend my Airport extreme wifi network. One unit plugged into AEX (which is connected to fios modem/router with wifi turned off) via ethernet. Other unit across the house plugged into ethernet port of Airport express. I set of the express as a new wireless network with the same SSID/security/password via airport utility. Turned on encryption on the zyxel units.
Summary: I use this product to connect my Blu-Ray set-top box to my home router. The acid test for me was being able to stream HD content from VUDU, Netflix, and Hulu without a single hiccup. Product was ridiculously easy to setup, and did not block access to my second outlet like some have reported. One minor annoyance is that I sometimes have to restart the streaming application if the unit has gone into power saving mode in order to establish a connection.
A great way to get a hardwired connection without needing to run Ethernet

Summary: These HomePlug power line adapters worked better than I expected. I have yet to run Ethernet through th house and this will help me push that off until I need to do that. I have a 100+ year old house but the wiring is all new. Wifi signals have been spotty from the back of the house. With this power line adapter kit I was able to add a wireless extension that's on Ethernet and it's solid.
Summary: I use it to stream Netflix and other online services to my living room, and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. This item shows "out of stock" right now, but I'll probably order a couple more for my upstairs office.
Pros: It does what I expected it to do and is easy to setup even with the built-in encryption.
Summary: I've used different powerline adapters from various manufacturers (D-Link, Zyxel, TP-LINK, TRENDnet, ActionTec, and Belkin). I have never been happy with any of them for more than 6 months until I found this product. It is more reliable by far and faster than every other kit I've used. Highly recommended.
Pros: - Never drops throughput like other powerline adapters. - Extremely fast wired network performance. - Passthrough means you can plug in your power strip without disrupting the functionality of the adapter.
Cons: - Expensive if you don't find it on discount.
Summary: I was concerned after reading numerous reviews, but thought I would at least try it. I'm glad I did. They were plug and play and worked the moment I plugged them in with no configuring. I was worried about the devices going into a sleep mode of some kind and having to reset them often, but that hasn't been the case. They are working flawlessly. The other day the power went out during a storm for about 2 minutes. The moment the power was on, I was connected instantly.
Good performance and compatibility at a lower price

Summary: After being pleasantly surprised by the performance of a pair of AV2 powerline adapters from Linksys I figured I would try to extend my LAN to the garage for an additional AP and a few IP cameras. I can't believe how well the ZyXEL works. It paired immediately, encryption works perfectly, and the performance is adequate for two HD cameras and some occasional music streaming and surfing.
