Summary: I recently bought a sony Blu-Ray DVD player Sony BDP-N460 Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) as a part of package with an LCD HT tv. Although the Blu-Ray player claims you can watch streaming video content on it. It is missing an integrated WI-FI and a USB drive to buffer the content. These have to be purchased separately. To connect the BDP-N460 to a network would be easy if you have an existing wired network in the vicinity of your DVD player.
Summary: I had been trying unsuccessfully for quite some time to connect my airport extreme and my xbox 360 wirelessly. I first tried the xbox wireless adapter. That didn't come close to working. This Trendnet adapter was the answer. For those that are interested, Trendnet's tech support walked me through the setup. They couldn't configure the adapter using a mac computer. Fortunately, I had a PC and on my network, and tech support patiently talked me through the configuration.
Summary: First off, I had been keeping my eye out for a cheap alternative to the 360's wireless adapter for sometime now, and when I saw this unit as apart of Amazon's lightning deals for $30 I couldn't pass that up. Before buying this unit, I was sure to peruse for reviews to see other peoples' luck with the item and was left a bit confused on how the product would perform.
Summary: Wanted to use this for connecting an LG BD550 Bluray player to my home wireless network since the BD550 only has RJ45 connector (and the router is at the other end of the house). This product works exactly as advertised and was easily configured using the well-written utility that came bundled with it. Within 5 minutes, I had the device configured - connected to the LG Bluray player - and was watching Netflix in no time. Great value - great product.
Summary: I was a little worried at first when I purchased this because the reviews made it sound like this product was hard to set up. Not only was it one of the easiest things I have set up, it also works flawlessly. I am using this product because I wanted to connect my PS3 to the internet and because I have a first generation original PS3 there is no wireless router. Within about 5 minutes I had it running and was on the internet on my PS3. P.S.
Summary: The product provides exactly what I need, wireless internet connection for my XBOX 360. Instructions were simple, no PC needed to connect. I made sure I had the WPS turned on with my home router (ATT Uverse Router, wireless G only), clicked on activate and the WPS LED started to flash. I walked over to the Trendnet Adapter, pushed its WPS button... it began to flash.
Summary: I got this to connect my Directv HD DVR to my home network so I could use the on demand feature and I could not be happier. No software to install so it's perfect for Directv receivers and any gaming console, not to mention pcs and laptops. Customer service is good, which is awesome because unless you work for your company's IT department, youre going to need to call them to set this up. Great range and easy connection. Completely recommend it.
Summary: I was looking for a solution to connecting my Sony Playstation 3 to the internet without having to run an ethernet cable across the living room. The Trendnet wireless adapter is just that solution. The installation took no longer than a minute if your wireless router has a WPS push button. I purchased the adapter mostly for watching Netflix movies and have not noticed any difference between the WiFi connection and the previous wired connection.
