Summary: In general, TrendNet devices have not disappointed me.
Pros: Works great after configuring the device the first time, when it is new out of box. Connects DVD player to home network very easily. Contacted TrendNet for tech support, email@example.com responded with great tech support, showing how o do configuration step by step without the wizard program. T...
Cons: After couple resets, can no longer complete configuration by the Wizard: always receiving "Unable to complete the configuration."
Summary: I realized after purchase it was a discontinued product (from the manufacturer). I certainly hope that TrendNet will support this product and fix the bug that is still in the latest firmware.
Pros: small product footprint, 3 year warranty, WPS feature for those who prefer to use it over manual configuration.
Cons: Hard copy of the the install manual doesn't mention the product static IP but it is in the soft copy on the enclosed CD. (192.168.10.110) This product is missing the 'save configuration' option. If you cycle the power on it by unplugging it or losing power at your home then you will need to log i...
Summary: My nephew has been using it with an old phat Xbox 360. He has had no issues for months.
Pros: Works very well once I discovered all my frustrations configuring the darn thing stemmed from the included network cable. Don't know why I didn't try a different cable sooner, but it would have saved hours of frustration.
Cons: - Included cable was faulty - Easily knocked over.
Summary: I bought this about a year ago, and could not connect it. I had numerous problems maintaining a signal, called / contacted TrendNet support about it, then just gave up as nothing seemed to work. I just let it sit in a drawer.
Pros: I was getting 70-80% signal strength on my PS3 in the basement from the 2nd floor router, now it's 95%! This device improves the signal strength compared to the weak internal antennas. Plus, it's connecting at "N" speeds of 300Mbps. PS3's built in wireless receiver is only a "G" router!!!!!! SLOW...
Cons: CAT-5 cable really short. Setup is a bit tricky if you do not follow it exactly, and must have the right home configuration.
Difficult to setup; but great once you get it done

Summary: I bought this router since we have the 847 model and use that for a computer, but I only needed to hookup an ancient laserjet printer that has a built in jetdirect ethernet port out on it; and didn't want to spend the money for the more expensive model. Setup on this was horrible.
Summary: Had an older blu-ray player that did not have a wireless option, only wired. Used this to connect to wireless network and Netflix streams perfectly. Recommended if you are looking to add wireless to a blu-ray player but the manufacturer does not offer a wireless option.
