Great card for the price.

Jn25wil, Amazon
15 July 2014
  • Summary: Works perfect so far as it should. It's a network card so not a lot to say. Speed tests showed good throughput. Windows 7 found the device and auto installed the drivers so installation was as simple as plugging it in and booting the PC. If the card fails in less than a year I will provide an update.

A lot of bits for the buck

M. Tucker, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: I wanted to be able to get large files to the computer that we use as a media server more quickly. The 12MByte/second transfer rate I got on our 100 Mbit/s cards was OK and more than enough for streaming, but I wanted more speed for copying movies from one computer to the other. Installation was very easy.

Average Gigabit PCI Adapter

Randy Cortez, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: It is a pretty good adapter. I didn't use the driver software that it came with because it was outdated instead It automatically found the necessary driver it needed on my pc and updated the driver using windows update. I haven't had any problems with it and it seems like it does just as good as the more expensive brands out there. I would recommend buying this one before wasting your money on something that costs twice as much.

Cheap card. Slightly faster than my 100Mb/sec onboard nic

Gary H, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: Unless I'm doing something wrong, this card is slightly faster than my 100mb/s onboard nic. I copied a 4.7 gb iso file over from my NAS drive using the computer's onboard nic. It avg around 7.5-7.7 mb/sec. Then I installed the pcitxr gigabit card and it definately was faster, but it only went up to about 11mb/sec. I didn't expect 10x improvement, but was hoping for just 2x (think about it, 1000/100=10x).

Compatible with the Untangle Internet Gateway

John T. Feris "Buck Feris", Amazon
4 August 2013
  • Summary: If you are building an internet gateway and you are using Untangle Linux, this card will suit your needs. The kernel recognizes it immediately with no driver installation needed. It is only one of two cards listed on their wiki that will fit in a low profile case. So if that is what you want, this is for you. And you just can't beat the price. Has been working flawlessly for a week.
