Excerpt: Bought this because I needed an adaptor that would handle Time Warner's upgrade to a dual band modem. It works like a charm. By being able to access the 5hGz band my download speed increased by anywhere from five to six times. I am a happy camper!
Works out of the box with the Raspberry Pi model B+

Summary: My 2.4 Ghz network is saturated with multiple devices that was killing latency. Was pleasantly surprised when this adapter just worked! All I had to do was change the wpa-ssid to point to my 5Ghz network and it connected without needing me to do anything else. Latency went from 300ms+ to a very consistent 8ms! ssh sessions now feel like a local connection. Overall very happy with this little gem.
Summary: This device is a TOTAL GARBAGE... DON'T BUY IT! This is the SECOND ONE I own that simply DIED in less than two months!!! The first one also DIED in a similar fashion but I decided to give the device a second chance thinking maybe I just got unlucky the first time. But no, it's not out of luck, the device is simply flawed like that! It fails on the second month like many have said here... THIS DEVICE IS A PIECE OF CRAP, DON'T BUY IT!
Summary: This review is for the TP-LINK TL-WDN3200 Dual Band Wireless N600 USB Adapter, a white stick-shaped USB device. The way Amazon has it listed seems to combine reviews for multiple sister products from TP-LINK. [See updates below--product may not be reliable!] After buying a dual-band router and learning that 5Ghz is really only useful within a small range and line-of-sight, I decided to switch the family PC to wireless N over 5Ghz, since it resides across the room from...
Summary: Love this thing!! My old adapter got at most 10-20 mb/s, and almost never reconnected automatically after waking my computer from "sleep" mode. This super attractive little adapter took about 5 mins to set up (thank you push-button WPS!), and has MUCH stronger signal, and since it supports the 5 ghz spectrum that my modem transmits, is now connecting at like 50 mb/s so literally I can download a 50 mb file in 5 seconds!
Summary: I bought this for my desktop in the living room and wanted to get rid of the ethernet cord. I decided to purchase this as the solution. For this PC, blazing speed was not necessary so I purchased the dual band model at 300Mbp/s. Have been using for 3 months and not a single dilemma with signal strength or connectivity. Continues to work just fine every day. However, the only issue I had with this was trying to get the driver to install.

Summary: For Windows 8 64-bit, you must download the updated driver (2013) from the tp-link website. Will not work out of the box without that driver despite instruction manual stating otherwise. Windows 7 64-bit worked out of the box with CD driver install.
