Summary: Having an Ethernet adapter that died, I chose this inexpensive option to replace it. I have trusted StarTech for a long time as my company has purchased several dozens of their USB Ethernet adapters with no problems over the past three years. Physical installation was as expected; nothing special there. My Linux box recognized the card and did not require special drivers. My home firewall is back up and running.
Summary: I needed a cheap replacement network card for my Linux box after a lightning storm fried my on board network adapter. Worked perfectly. It's not a gigabit, but since it's just for my internet connection, that's not a big deal.
Summary: StarTech 10/100/1000 32-Bit card worked as expected and installed with no problems-I can now access internet speeds Higher than 500mbps although right now I'm settling for 150mbps for both download and upload thanks to Verizon.
Summary: THE PRICE WAS RIGHT FOR THE PRODUCT FOR MY COMPUTER. I HAVE AN OLDER DESKTOP COMPUTER AND I NEEDED A CARD TO USE WITH MY NEW ROUTER. IT WORKED GREAT. THE CARD WAS EASY TO INSTALL WITH A CD. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS.
Summary: I installed this ethernet card and immediately booted up. The pc went out to find a driver and since it was Windows7, I did not even have to use the disk that came with it. It went onto the internet without any trouble. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a PCI Ethernet card. The price was more than reasonable . All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would not hesitate to purchase from this Company again..
