Good Hardware, Hate, Hate, Hate The Software

Cory M., Newegg
2 March 2007
  • Summary: You really have no other choice for an internal wireless card on a shuttle system (I have no pci slots), but I cannot tell you how much this software annoys me. I couldn't get the Windows utility to control it, even after uninstalling the Shuttle software.
  • Pros: Took 2 minutes to install, if that. Always get an excellent signal. I am in a 1-bedroom apartment, so the signal doesn't have to go far.
  • Cons: The software is overly complicated. Specifically: 1) The list of available networks will not display the name of a non-broadcasting network that I have already added. I had to start broadcasting my SSID because there are other non-broadcasting networks around me with strong signals and I didn't k...

Avoid the thin antenna cable

Puck J., Newegg
28 February 2007
  • Summary: This is to add more info to my previous review. I removed the thin extention cable between the card and antenna, and the signal went up 1~2 bars (out of 5 bars). The thin wire is too lossy for 2.4 GHz.
  • Pros: made for XPC
  • Cons: Not really fit all XPC

Just OK

Puck J., Newegg
24 February 2007
  • Summary: The new SS21T case also does not have mounting holes for PN18. Considering it is so expensive, it is definitely a worst buy in my new system. Otherwise, I am happy with the my new XPC (SS21T).
  • Pros: Maybe external antenna
  • Cons: 1. The wireless lan utility software does not work (even with the newest version) for XP. I wasted many hours and finally give up. By letting XP (SP2) to handle the connecting, the problem is solved. Using WPA-PSk with TKIP. 2. Range is so so. Not as good as other reviews show. Kind of disappointed.

Wireless Heaven...

Anonymous, Newegg
9 February 2007
  • Summary: This is the only way to go wireless is you are using a double width video card, or are doing Crossfire (like me).
  • Pros: Fits perfectly in my XPC (SD37P2). Has good range, and all the features I was looking for.
  • Cons: None....Awesome unit.

Nice product

Anonymous, Newegg
4 February 2007
  • Summary: Arrived promptly in good condition. The manual is ok as such manuals go.
  • Pros: Easy to install. Works as advertised. Nice integration with my G series shuttle
  • Cons: A little pricey. The driver has crashed windows a couple of times. Not sure if I will be able to continue to use it. May have to resort to windows driver.

GREAT wireless kit!

Joshua A., Newegg
15 January 2007
  • Summary: GREAT service and fast shipping as always from NewEgg! :)
  • Pros: Very easy to install, software is easy to install, doesn't use a lot of system resources like some WAP software. Connection seems to be faster/more stable compared to my previous Linksys usb adapter. Easy to install in my Shuttle XPC case. Affordable.
  • Cons: None that I can think of....can be kinda tricky to install this item after the build is complete, like I did. But that comes with building a small form-factor PC.

Shuttle WLAN card is good

Anonymous, Newegg
9 December 2006
  • Summary: with an easy setup and decent price, shuttle owners will like this product.
  • Pros: very easy to install (like 5 minutes), these engineers are BRILLIANT! the software is very interesting but my Fritz!WLAN modem did not care for it much so i uninstalled and just used Windows Wireless manager. works fine.
  • Cons: i think the Shuttle WLAN software was conflicting with the Windows Wireless Mgr.

Great solution for my SB95P v2

Tor F., Newegg
18 October 2006
  • Summary: If you need better coverage Id recommend getting a better antenna. If your access point is close by, dont worry about it, but if its far away there are better antenna solutions out there.
  • Pros: This fit my SB95P v2 perfectly. Installed without any issues, and its working great. The antena picks up the signal nicely.
  • Cons: None. I dont think its too pricey, even though it would be great if it had been integrated into my system to begin with.
