Summary: I bought Three of these cards. They are complete junk. I opened and installed two of them. They did not work. They would even stop the computer from booting. I did not even open the third one. They are complete Junk! Poor is too good of a rating. Do not even think of buying this product. Walmart was nice enough to give me a full refund. Thanks Walmart, you too got stuck with this trash.
Summary: My not so old Dell tower SAID it supported USB 2.0, but when I went to hook up a new webcam, the install program told me the port would not support it. Ordered this inexpensive solution, installed into the PCI port and problem solved! There is a CD included in case your Windows version doesn't feel like it wants to update properly. Overall great value!
Summary: Regardless of what it says on the package, this card does NOT support WIN 7. It came with a driver CD, which I thought would update it. It didn't. After installing the driver CD, I "opened" the file and saw that it did not mention Win 7. Previously, after trying to get it recognized by my OP (Win 7) I called Sabrent Tech Service. The tech said he would email me a link. Never received the email.
Summary: I had to rebuild my computer because of a failed hard drive. After connecting the new hard drive and installing windows, all of my USB ports were dead. When I looked at the regular "big box" stores they wanted four times what Walmart wanted. This part came in just a few days, and it works perfectly.
Summary: Great value for the money. Installed it in a Compaq running MS Vista Basic. No problems with install. Windows hardware manager displayed all the drivers it automatically loaded for the VIA chip, the USB hub and the USB ports. Did not have to use the driver CD that came with it. Completly happy with product. Might be a problem for older operating systems like MS 2000 or ME, but might work with XP...
