Summary: I received the package on schedule, but there was only ONE Powerline in the generic brown box! When the webpage said "1 for $$, 2 for $$" it seemed obvious you're buying 1 PAIR, since obviously it takes a minimum of TWO of these to even work in the first place. Even the picture shows two of them. Someone is apparently opening the Netgear package, splitting the contents and selling for double the price.
Summary: I have 5 of these throughout my house. I prefer ethernet wiring over WiFi. It is faster and more secure. Netgear Powerline was the easiest way to extend my ethernet network - no cables to run through walls and attics. I simply plug them into a wall outlet and they work flawlessly.
Internet connections through power outlets like magic.

Summary: These adapters really work. I picked up the starter unit and added these to the system. They work best on the same access power line but will also work on others but with some degradations. Recommended.
Summary: This is my second pair installed on my 2 storey house where my main AP was upstair and the entertainment center was downstair (blu ray, smart TV, ROKU) all WIRED thru another AP. And the last pair was at the office downstair which I primary use for work thru an 8 port network switch (printer, VOIP phone, and desktop PC).
Summary: I moved to a townhouse condo. The wireless modem is on the first floor where I use a laptop but won't reach into the basement to my desktop because of cement walls. I never really thougth these would work to solve the problem, but they work like a charm - just plug in and they work.
Summary: Quick advice: First check if you can run cat5 or cat5E. It's MUCH cheaper and has potentially faster speeds. If not, this might be what you need. I was very skeptical of these devices, but with how bad my WiFi repeating situation was I was willing to take a risk and turn that segment of my network into a physical link. They have not disappointed. One thing that I've noticed is the speed is much more consistent than wireless.
Summary: Had been having serious IP Address conflicts with my home wi-fi network. Was recommended to buy a Powerline Adapter as an upgrade over wi-fi. Bought two sets of the Netgear AV+200 XAVB2501 Powerline Adapters (four total units) and connected one to my Netgear cable router and the other in an upstairs bedroom. Immediate success! Fast internet access without disruption.
