Summary: The N600 looks nice and easy to install, the only negative that I have and it maybe where is the unit is installed. The signal is gets weaker pending where you are in the house. I installed mine in the basement and the ideal is to install this unit higher or the same level where you are working. Make sure to re-boot the unit every week for better performance. The unit is good enough for home use.
Excerpt: This router was easy to set up and provides more than enough coverage that the entire house, including the second floor, are wifi enabled. The quick start instructions are easy to follow. Despite not much technical know how, we set up the router and connected our devices quickly. When we hit one speed bump the online support solved our problem, albeit after a long and intrusive questioning by the technician.
Excerpt: Reliable router and works well once set-up. WiFi is solid, but adjustments to home network is challenging at times because of having to frequently restart the modem, the router, and connected devices to maintain communications is challenged by a lack of clear instructions provided with the router. I've had this router for a few years not to replace the dinky, low signal router Comcast provides. I believe I paid close to $90 for it at the time.
Excerpt: We bought this to replace an old NETGEAR router. I had no idea how much the older (8+ years!!) one was slowing things down, until i replaced it with this. Easy to install. We've only had it less than 1 week & we're happy with the improvement.
Summary: This router works well good coverage and has dual output and easy to setup. Cons had to reboot it about twice a month because it starts loosing and retransmitting signal. The price for refurbished router is unbeatable. I bought two and my other one is running great. My Daughters old router was just about reaching her desktop on another floor and now has very good connection. She is running a repeater for the pool area and that gets good connection to resend.
