Summary: My cousin bought this garbage when we were going to upgrade to our DLINK Router that was getting outdated. This router is constantly dropping connections, construction is poorly made with plastic bits and the removable feet are uber cheap in terms of quality. Don't expect to be playing games, this thing will launch your ping to over 1,000 when playing on a server in a game such as Battlefield 3.
Pros: Absolutely none.
Cons: Everything bad you can think of., Literally a nightmare to deal with.
Summary: This came a day earlier than expected. The shipping carton was still in pristine condition. Good job guys and UPS. I hooked this up and could not get it to connect. Customer support was worthless. That has to be the worst experience I have had with any CSR since the last time I had to call Netgear Customer service. They had me change the MAC address to use my computers MAC address then when that didn't work they told me my cable modem was dead and it wasn't their fault.
Summary: I've had it with this router. Owned it since July 2011 but it's been flaky from day one. Signal strength comes and goes. Finally had enough and invoked the warranty. Surprise! You have to pay to get them to ship a replacement unit first. Otherwise you have to send your faulty unit back and wait for the replacement. The replacement unit is worse than the one I sent back! Now it constantly drops and reissues IP addresses.
GOOD PRODUCT- BAD SUPPORT CENTER- LIKE PAY ME SUPPORT

Summary: REBUILT UNIT- NO INSTRUCTIONS- ONLY PHONE NUMBER- THEY WANTED ME TO PAY THEM TO HELP ME SET THE UNIT UP. THE LOCAL CABLE PEOPLE HELPED ME OUT. SO FAR THE UNIT IS WORKING WELL. BUT IF IT BREAKS THE COMPANY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND IT.
Summary: Worked for the first 48 days then the signal failed at 15 ft away. After 2 weeks of going back and forth with Netgear got an RMA but had to send this one back first and pay for it out of my pocket before they will send me a referbed one. I will never buy a Netgear again.
Summary: Check out the netgear website, they now say if you purchased after Jan 9, 2011 and have the original receipt (US only). Here's the link: I've had this router for at least a year (maybe two) and it finally stopped connecting. I unfortunately can't find the receipt. I really don't know what this warranty means if the customer service is as bad as people say. I wonder why this warranty doesn't apply to their other models like the WNDR3700?
Summary: My NETGEAR N600 WNDR 3400v2 works OK. I've been using it for 2 months now. I started with many streaming interruptions of Netflix movies using wireless. The router is 15 feet from the Internet TV/Internet blueray with a wall in between. I have Comcast through their modem, with measured download speed of 7 Mbps at slowest. The interruptions went away when I bought ethernet cables and wired everything.
It is a ok router ,but I think there is room for improvement .

Summary: Router set up was easy and worked well . It out performs my old linksys wrt54g .it does not seem to get any wear near is 300 Mbps speed it is rated at more around 100-119 Mbps even when wireless device is in same room . Higher band seems not to work well at all most devices do not even see it , with that not sure what the point in having the upper band .Wired routing seems to work just fine with no issues.
Summary: I bought this router about two weeks ago, and it has already died. I contacted Netgear by phone, but that was a fruitless endeavor. I contacted Netgear by email and got a response pretty fast. Just a warning to anyone looking at this router, be careful with it. All I did was unplug the power to move it to a new outlet and it died. I'm still resolving the issue with Netgear. While the router was on, it worked great, but it should have lasted a lot longer than it did.
