"worked for a year and then it stopped - both bands"
10 April 2013
Pros: nothing good about it
Cons: stopped wroking after a year - box said it was warrentied for a year. The support line wnated $80 before they woudl help me. I only piad $80 for teh router; plus it is supposed to be warrentied for life
"Both product and customer service VERY disappointing"
4 March 2013
Pros: It works 80% of the time.
Cons: The product decides at random to cease working. Customer service of this company is absolutely terrible; once your 90 day warranty expires they will barely even have a phone conversation with you.
Doesn't maintain internet connection and tech support is email only
10 December 2012
Summary: I'm still presently trying to configure the router with internet stability. I followed the steps outlined for setup and was able to successfully pull an internet page, however, the router does not maintain the internet connection. Support has been limited to email as this was a factory refurbished item making the process for troubleshooting ever more cumbersome.
Summary: Pure garbage, dont purchase this router. I went through two of these routers, thank God i had the radioshack warrenty. If your power goes out or disconnect the router, it is reset and you must go through a proccess to download latest firmware (total hassel) I warn all to not purchase this router, waste of money and time.
Terrible experience. Will never purchase Netgear again!!
15 July 2012
Summary: Purchase came without Cd installation setup. If you dont have that disc, it's a nightmare with their support center. They dont know the basic information on how to install without CD, will have to purchase additional Advance Service for $39 to get router up and going. 1st and only time, I am officially done with Netgear Product. Setup Nightmare. I will stick to Cisco routers.
Summary: I replaced an older router that had trouble connecting with an n-type wifi card. The card is supposed to slow down to ''g'' speed to match the router but apparently it didn't always. This fixed the problem.
Cons: I never could get rid of the NAT Is moderate on XBOX live. Did everything XBOX live recommended and tried calling tech, What and absurd joke they cant even transfer a call let alone help with setting this thing up.
