Summary: Follow the instructions and it's a breeze. I have it extending a Netgear 300 which is located easily 100 ft away. Full bars with no problems. If you have renamed your router, it will revert the router to it's original name. Hope this helps those who are having problems.
Excerpt: It was not too hard to "install" and it does work. It makes up for a weak gateway type Wi-Fi router at one end of our house which would be too difficult to move. This expands the range so we can use Wi-Fi almost everywhere in the house now.
Excerpt: I tried a few other range extenders after my Internet Service Provider sent a new MODEM/Router with very limited WIFI range. They were complete failures, providing no more coverage in the house than the MODEM itself. I was willing to try one more device and this is the one I picked.
Excerpt: Purchased this to extend wifi through the house with a matching Netgear N300 (WNR2000v2) wireless router. These two replaced the existing 14-year-old AirPort extreme. The new solution yields much better signal strength through a medium-sized single story home.
