Pros: Easy set up, good through-put of data, 4 ethernet ports on back (main reason I bought it) low price
Cons: Daily++ would drop connection and require me to unplug and reboot the unit. Techheads in the forums say there is a fix by rolling the firmware back and several configuration changes, too much for me, I want it to work as well as my Cisco router does.
Summary: Got it home, tried to set up with my WEP network couldn't get to the screen to finish setup. Went to their tech site, found pages of people with the same problem. Called their tech support, 45 min of trying later and they told me it was defective and to return it. Based on number of complaints not buying another one. Will return and try the Cisco.
Summary: The idea of "plug and play" as described do not work. You plug the unit in and push the buttons and directed - the connection appears in wifi network but drops as soon as you try to connect. 3 hours later - we still can't use it and all of the "fixes" are INVOLVED! Totally defeats the purpose of ease of use and quick set up! I am not novice on IT stuff....consider myself intermediate. But this system is just unreliable and inconsistent!
Seriously, save your time and money and buy anything else.

Summary: Runs very very hot. So hot the strong smell of resin PCB board and solder will permeate your room for weeks during use. Performance will decline over the next 6-8 months to the point where it looses it's connection every 3-4 minutes (confirmed with an IP connection log). USB connection for external memory access feature is way too slow for auto backups. Then lots of re-setting and re-configuring with the tech support folks to no avail.
Netgear needs English speaking techs, if they're going to deal in the USA

Summary: The Wireless Router itself works as expected, although I did have some trouble getting it to set up. I use Earthlink, and it expressly lists Earthlink along with several other major providers as being specifically compatible with. I could not get it to recognize my internet connection that was working perfectly a few minutes before using my old seperate DSL modem and router combination (Netopia modem and LinkSys wireless router).
Summary: Tried for hours to get this functional - even spent hours with the support. Nothing. Interface is horrible, it's slow and locks up constantly. Tech support could never figure out the issue. Bought a linksys for $20 less. Plugged it in and done - works flawlessly. This product is poorly designed and expensive plastic box.
