Summary: Bought to replace DG834N. It improves line speed and signal strength by 10% over old modem/router. But old Rangemax USB adapters only connect at 144Mbs (up to 270Mbs with DG834N). It appears to support IPv6 to some degree. Lots of bad feedback on forums about USB Readyshare, so I have turned it off. Physically about 2/3rds size of DG834N, runs warm. Screw holes on case permit wall mounting.
Summary: Buy a nice Wifi N router, I was told; so much more signal strength and range than your old B/G device. Well, not this Wireless N router. LESS signal strength than its older B/G cousin in my house. It is free of the old unit's bad habits, acquired with age, but then it's new, so it shouldn't be clapped out like the old one which was years old. It's a huge relief not to lose the wifi at random times, but it's not as new and clever as they'd have you believe.
Summary: Received Router earlier than expected, unfortunately unit was supplied with European connections, Amazon unable to replace, but supplied a UK adapter plug, free of charge. Unit speed is excellent, but drop out rate is same as before. At the limit for ISP !
Summary: I have just bought this as a replacement for my trusty DG834 which seemed to be on the way out (not sure it is, but that's another story). The first thing I noticed was that the power adaptor in the box was a European one, disappointing since I am in the UK and bought it from amazon.co.uk. I used the adaptor from my old Netgear to get me going. It wasn't until I was sorting through the packaging that I found a UK adaptor.
Summary: Comprato due giorni fa, da Expert qui a Palermo, ovviamente preso perchè in offerta.
