Summary: I purchased a "NEW" card and the one that I received was obviously used, as it had writing on the card in permanent marker and a label from a label maker marking the ports on the card. That said, this is a great card!! Very fast and works as expected. I am using it for a trunked connection from my ESXi home server with multiple VLANs running over it.
Summary: Well for the price point and what this card can do its well worth it to upgrade, I put one on my LGA 2011 ASUS motherboard w/ i7-3820, just popped in between my two GeForce 660ti's on 3.0 express bus slot and without loading a single driver practically configured itself. Even though I already had a Intel GB LAN on board now I'm running with 3 ports at a smooth 3GB.
Summary: Excellent...put it in a little emachine micro computer that runs pfSense. this bad boy is perfect...high throughput, no drivers needed (windows 7 and 8.1, before the pfsense install), high MTU. and..it just works.
I always by intel for compatibility reasons and this one ...

Summary: I always by intel for compatibility reasons and this one works well with vmware esxi so 4 stars, the only negative is its a bit pricey but I guess you slap a SERVER label on anything and automatically get charged double.
Summary: WOW! Blows my Mobo's on board NIC out of the water. Got this for my Debian Xen home server. Initially used the two NICs for redundancy/fail-over but now I'm using both simultaneously to split the network load of the VMs. Works flawlessly in either configuration. No drivers needed; Jessie/Xen picked both NICs up right away.
