Summary: These adapters are the last of this model - they were discontinued a few years ago. Regardless, they work perfectly and now the price is unbeatable. You should download the latest Pro/1000 driver file directly from Intel's web site to get the most functionality from this adapter.
Pros: Genuine Intel, which means it works like it's supposed to, no fooling around necessary. Mature driver with many options including jumbo frames.
Cons: Does not support some of the advanced diagnostics available in the newer versions.
Summary: I have had many of these running in servers for years with very little down time. This LAN card series are work horses designed to simply work. Add a few of these to your Network and you be as pleased as I have been.
Summary: This is an excellent _server_ card. Not for your desktop, since very few desktops have PCI-X slots. But if you want a solid performing server card with excellent driver support and two ports, this should be your first choice. Runs great in Server 2008, by the way, and does iSCSI well.
Summary: After I had 2 Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop Adapters and the onboard nic in my server fail. It became clear to me that desktop nics wouldn't cut it. I bought this nic as a replacement and I am very pleased with it.
Pros: Very good performance, Server Grade, Extended PCI
Cons: A bit pricey (Still not a bad price for what you get)
