Summary: I bought it expecting to have plenty of room, ended up having to take the slave end of my sound card out for it to fit. So I have fast reliable wireless internet, but I can't use my microphone when I'm in groups on SWTOR, so I have to type everything.
Pros: Its solid and reliable. I literally just aimed the antennae at a 90 degree angle and had 94% signal strength. Its fast.
Cons: Bit hard to get in the PCI port, so be careful or you'll snap it.
Summary: I don't know what these legacy PCI slots can be utilized for nowadays, but this isn't a bad way to spend them. Save the gen 2&3 slots for GPUs and put this card in your unused PCI slot. It works beautifully and I would make the purchase again. Please note that I am running 64-bit Windows 7.
Pros: Reliable card. I don't have issues with internet dropping. Downloads fast and uploads fast. It's cheap. Antenna feel sturdy. Smaller antenna lead to fewer size limitations. I can't vouch for intensive games, but this card works for lighter gaming such as Minecraft, League of Legends, World of Tan...
Cons: It's pretty big, although I'd rather have quality over size. It will cover about half of your GPU fan if it sits directly beneath it. I haven't had heat issues, but still something to consider. I like the small antennas, but others might prefer big antennas. It is mean, green, and ugly. If you ha...
Edimax EW-7722In 300Mbps 11n Wireless PCI adapter with 2 x 3dBi Detachable Antennas
11 January 2015
Summary: I purchased this for a used 1.6GHz Power Mac G5 desktop I was given. I have it in the basement on my workbench, and my wireless router is on the second floor in my house. The Power Mac's built-in Airport Extreme card didn't pull in the signal very well.
Summary: Maybe not the greatest for gaming although it's possible and really not that bad depending on the game, but we all know that.
Pros: It does it's job well; if you're looking to get online without a cord this will get it done. For everyday tasks such as e-mail and video streaming I can't tell a difference between running from this card or a cord.
Summary: Great Wireless adapter at a very reasonable price point.. If you are looking for a Wireless PCI card, then look no further.. This thing is all you will need..
Pros: My system is in the basement and the router is upstairs in the bedroom.. I get a full 4 bars out of 5. I had a D-Link DWA-552 Xtreme, and it never registered over 3 bars and constantly lost connection with the router.. So far I've not had a single connection loss, and a steady 4 bar connection wi...
Summary: I'm sure this commonly happens, but if multiple users are using the same WiFi then I cannot connect but yet other people can still use it. It's not that bad but just a pain to figure out.
Pros: It's not expensive and it works well. I can connect from the basement to upstairs in my room. I can upload videos fast and play other HD videos on other tabs. Can peak the MBPS around 130 usually, but mostly at 117. I really like it and if you're looking for average, cheap, and decently reliable ...
Cons: The software for checking the MPBS Status is finnicky. Sometimes it tells me that it I have good connection but still can't connect to the internet. When I adjust the antennas it tells me that I have the same good connection, the same MBPS, but the antennas are positioned differently. You really ...
Pros: No complaints here: uninstalled the old card/driver, popped this in, and let Windows find the right drivers - didn't even need the CD. Quite the speed boost over a 54Mbps adapter - 1080p video and Steam game streaming are now smooth as butter!
