Dead om arrival

D. Blake "Uber-Geek", Amazon
30 May 2014
  • Summary: Plugged in and nothing, searched the company website, downloaded the software, still no luck getting my computer, windows 8.1 Lenovo only a month old, to recognize the adapter. Not worth the hassle to return. Oh well I believe I will stay away from refurbished products.

Does not support Linux

Edward Holcroft, Amazon
27 March 2014
  • Summary: This is actually a decent piece of equipment if you run Windows, but I gave it a 1 because I needed it to be Linux compatible, which it is not.

20M+ wireless DL with a true 270M connection to router

Scott D. Davis "Scott", Amazon
10 December 2013
  • Summary: I have this paired with the Nfiniti Wireless-N High Power Router & Access Point WZR-HP-G300NH . I selected this usb wireless adapter after trying others and getting disconnects. I am happy to tell you that the disconnects have gone away. I am using the wireless tool for management, and have had no issues with it. The router is the key to range and throughput, however, I can tell you that this wireless adapter has made a difference.

Satisfied with this excellent product

Kevin S. Weatherly "Kevin", Amazon
30 November 2013
  • Summary: I had never bought a Buffalo Technology product before this, and I did an extensive search before buying. This item has been outstanding in the time I've owned it. I haven't taken it out and about extensively yet, but in the house in which I typically use my laptop, this device has proven more powerful and effective than my built-in Dell wireless card. The only minor gripe I have is with the design, but it may be specific to my laptop and Buffalo Tech.

  • Summary: Works as it should in Windows 7. Works good in Windows 8.1, except the LED indicators are not functional. Otherwise operates fine. No complaints.

  • Summary: I researched them; this was the best. Our company IS/IT department uses them too -- as I later discovered. Solid connection; always works; decent price.

Good product but can only see one network at a time with dual band

ITGUY0625, Amazon
26 October 2013
  • Summary: I bought the usb adapter from buffalo wli-uc-g300hp to go with my buffalo router thinking it would provide better performance, one it doesnt, and two this usb device can only see one network at a time. Meaning if your using dual bands 2.4 & 5.0 it will only see one at a time unless you run a wizard to manually configure to see the other network.

Quality Product

Sean E Risner, Amazon
14 October 2013
  • Summary: I consider myself a novice computer user, the directions included were easy and simple to follow, installation was quick, insert the CD, follow the steps and I was up and running in no time. I did install the airstation bandwidth 20 or 40Hz tool, make sure you set it to 40Hz to get the fastest available speed. My wireless "N" router is in the other room and I have a constant transmission speed of 270 Mbps. Two thumbs up.

Great! but not a SUPER signal

Ron Agnelo Saldanha, Amazon
1 October 2013
  • Summary: Product is great, using it with a buffalo WHR-HP-G300N, goes well. Windows drivers did not help so had to pop the CD in. One thing to note is that I found its signal only at 3 bars rather than a full on expected signal considering my room is the closest to the router I expected it to be flawless however it works without any glitches and has win 7 64 bit drivers which was the key ingredient for me!
