Great for WIN7

Summary: I bought this unit since my Laptop's installed LAN port is very persnickity with intermittant connections. I have an older USB to Ethernet NIC, but it is not WIN 7 Compatible. This unit worked right out of the box AFTER I downloaded the WIN 7 driver from Belkin and installed BEFORE hooking up the device. The Belkin WIN 7 driver is only good for 32bit version of WIN7. Very happy with my purchase. Speed does not seem to be an issue for me.
Summary: Purchased this product to become a 2nd ethernet port for a Mac mini which is acting as a server on my network, running 10.6 Server. With zero configuration, it was recognized and was functioning on my network properly without any hassle. Contrary to other reviews I've read about this product in past, I definitely would recommend this product to anyone who's looking to add a 2nd ethernet port to their Mac.
Summary: I ordered this from Amazon based on its claimed Mac compatibility. The Quick Install Guide had a label on it saying that a Mac QIG was on the CD in pdf format. There was no Mac QIG, and no Mac driver, on the CD. after a call to Belkin tech support, I was given this link to a "beta" driver for Mac OS X: [...] now completing install and restarting to see if it works.
Summary: The Belkin Gigabit USB 2.0 Network Adapter has done everything that I had expected it to do. It connects excellently through the usb port and runs at 800mz (thats the max for usb port). I would recommend this product for computer businesses or just my friends.
Summary: As another reviewer pointed out, despite the claims made on the packaging, this adapter does NOT work with Macintosh computers. The install CD comes with a driver that will not recognize that the network cable is connected, and the website has no Mac drivers. This morning I called Belkin tech support; they were able to find the adapter on their product support website, and immediately told me that it had no Macintosh support.
Summary: I ordered this adapter with the hopes of speeding up my iBook G4 networking. I am unable to get the device working under OS X 10.4.7 The device is recognized by the network control panel, but will not pick up an address from DHCP. Manually assigning an address does not work either. After spending 50 minutes on the phone with Belkin just getting them to find the adapter on their own website I have still not resolved the issue.
