Summary: The Belkin Gigabit USB 2.0 Network Adapter has done everything that I had expected it to do. It connects excellently through the usb port and runs at 800mz (thats the max for usb port). I would recommend this product for computer businesses or just my friends.
Summary: I purchased this unit overseas as Belkin to not sell it in australia but it failed a few months after purchase, the system will see the unit but shows no ethernet cable connected, this was replaced and now my replacement unit is doing the same thing.
Summary: I used one of these for a year or so with an old VIA mini-ITX motherboard that only had 100Mbit Ethernet. This widget was literally plug and play with Debian Etch (like I said, it was a while back). I generally saw speeds of around 200-300Mbits which is good (the USB side imposes an upper limit anyway and I was not using a fast processor). Like others have commented, the blue LEDs are excessively bright.
Summary: I ordered this adapter with the hopes of speeding up my iBook G4 networking. I am unable to get the device working under OS X 10.4.7 The device is recognized by the network control panel, but will not pick up an address from DHCP. Manually assigning an address does not work either. After spending 50 minutes on the phone with Belkin just getting them to find the adapter on their own website I have still not resolved the issue.
Works Great on Windows 7 64bit - Hate The Blue Lights Though!

Summary: Let me preface this review by stating that owning & using a computer should require a license of some sort. I constantly read poor reviews on products from people who have no idea what they're talking about. If you don't understand how something works - don't blame the makers of it. Computers - by design - do not magically "talk" to every device or application out there.
Summary: Purchased this product to become a 2nd ethernet port for a Mac mini which is acting as a server on my network, running 10.6 Server. With zero configuration, it was recognized and was functioning on my network properly without any hassle. Contrary to other reviews I've read about this product in past, I definitely would recommend this product to anyone who's looking to add a 2nd ethernet port to their Mac.
Summary: I used the mac beta drivers from the Belkin site. I work at a large university with a cisco backbone and have had no problems. Much faster that the Apple dongle. Only complaints... the high price and the very bright blue lights.
