Summary: I have to reinstall this about once a week because my bandwidth randomly drops to 0.25 mbps. This is a temporary fix until it happens again. I guess it was cheap and you get what you pay for. I had this about 9 months before I had any issues with it.
Summary: I bought this item but promptly returned it to Amazon as soon as I discovered it caused my PC to lock up. The item may have been defective, or there might be a fatal flaw in the design. I don't know which, but buyer beware.
Summary: This was my wireless adapter of choice (ASUS products have always worked great for me), for my new system build which I completed last month, It came heavily recommended from multiple forums and sites! However my experience with the card was nothing but horrible!
Summary: I rely on ASUS time and time again for motherboards, monitors, gfx cards, etc. I have never been let down until now. This card can't even match the performance of an Abit Airpace WiFi i bought 3 years ago.
Summary: Bought this for a gaming desktop and had nothing but problems. First of all, it created a buzzing noise in my every couple minutes whenever the CPU would come under any sort of load. I fixed it by downloading the drivers from RALINK, rather than ASUS.
Summary: Does not work. It connected the first time succesfully, but started dropping the connection and finally wouldn't connect at all over the course of three days. The home network is fine, every other device I have connects anywhere in the house with no problems.
Summary: This product doesn't work! I have my macbook pro, ipod touch, ipad next to my desktop comp and they all working fine, except my desktop with this wireless card. It keeps giving me inconsistent wireless connect point (sometimes the one in my own house doesn't even show up!!
Summary: The installation into my Dell Dimension E510 was simple and the card worked immediately but afterwards the computer started locking up after long idle periods. I upgraded the driver that was suggested on the Asus web site but the problem seemed to be worse.
Summary: I bought the ASUS adapter as part of a home rewiring project that included a and a . I added the adapter to a machine that already included dual 1GB NICs. The goal was to eliminate one hard-wired NIC, but the performance of this adapter makes that impossible.
