Summary: In 2015, the top end brand in computers, apple , sells to its people 100mb LAN connections... not 1gb, or 10gb... no, 100mbps In spain we have 300mbps fibre connections to the internet, and my mac, with original cable, gets only 100mbps. This is a JOKE
Constantly catching on edge of desk and ripping out
Mary Beth S, Apple Store
30 May 2015
Summary: It functions just fine, but the design is terrible. The dangling end catches on the edge of the table or desk and it rips out. Not impressed and I wish I had purchased an adapter somewhere else.
Summary: For the Macbook, this does what it says on the tin and works hooking USB to ethernet. The adapter's packaging says it only works with the Macbook Air, but it works with the new USB-C one-port Macbook with a USB adapter.

6 May 2015
Summary: I made the mistake of buying the Cable Matters® USB 2.0 to 10/100 Fast Ethernet Network Adapter in Black before spending the extra money for a genuine Apple product. This works on an old, black MacBook Core Duo running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Summary: Simple, solid, reliable. Classic Apple. Have not had any problems using this adapter. I've been using it with my MacBook Air from time-to-time, not extensively, though. True, it's short, but it has enough slack to move around, and besides: the freedom of length should be coming from a longer...
Summary: This adapter works great on my 15" MacBook Pro Retina (Late 2013) with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. It was immediately detected and received a DHCP address. Was also detected by VMware Fusion Pro 7.1 and was able to use it on my Windows 7 virtual machine.
