Summary: There are no better solutions than this one with the exception of the motorola at 3x the cost and not nearly the functionality. Please note, the bad reviews seem to be from folks that were looking for a simple plug-n-play option. This is by no means sophisticated, but requires a basic understanding of your home network and router (and the web) and possibly port forwarding. I'm not sure why you would even use an app.
Summary: I should have titled this review "Most People Don't Know What They're Doing." The number of one star ratings on this device prove this point very well. There are a LOT of variables that go into creating a reliable and consistent Wifi network. Attaching any device, whether it is a Y-Cam or a Bluray player is just ONE part of the equation.
Summary: Great camera for home. Installed in 5 mins. Color is a little off with Browns and reds so you may want to get the cube if that bothers you. Had some trouble setting it up with recording but was able to figure it out.
Summary: Okay, so I've read the reviews on this camera and I have to agree with the majority of reviewers; this camera is poorly constructed and tech support is miserable. I bought this camera as a baby monitor and for the first few months, it worked just fine. The WiFi signal was so poor (also a complaint held by just about anyone who's used this), that it is a useless waste of space, perhaps even semi-fraudulent since the usable range for wifi would basically mean you could...
It’s not perfect, but it’s better and more flexible than most

Summary: I can say without a doubt this was the best item we bought to help us with our baby. There is a lot less accidentally waking the baby up to check on noises and we rest easier being able to check on her whenever we want. This was and still is a better option than most the, “baby brands,” devices but there are a few Foscam, Sony, and Samsung cameras on the market that I might consider if I were looking again… but all are in the same price range if not more.
Summary: had camera for over a year, takes a while to set up and when it goes down it is a real pain in the butt to fix. I am very good with computer issues and this thing is a nightmare. and now after a year it can only work wired to wireless router, which defeats reason for having it. also i had to move wireless router into same room to use camera which was another half day project in itself to make everything neat and safe so my child would not touch it.
Summary: I've owned this product for over a year and have finally given up. Here's the breakdown: Mac Support: Poor (and now obsolete) iPad / iPhone Support: Poor (in-house app sucks to the point of non-existence. They couldn't get it to work, so now it's recommended that you pay an extra $8 for a compatible baby monitor app from the AppStore.....that also sucks. Customer Support: Poor (unless you actually enjoy having your time wasted by incoherent tech support from India).
Summary: I bought this as a baby monitor and it worked well some of the times. But it often drops off the network, and finally one day, when my (Amazon) return window had expired, the wifi chip died. Now this camera only works if you plug it in with a cable, which defeated the purpose of buying the wifi version. Just like another reviewer said, the power cord falls off the device with the slightest wiggle.
