Cons: I own 2. The reset button is non-functional. Placing a paper clip in the hole touches air and goes strait-thru to the other side. If you take the back off, you may be able to press the reset button, but it is a small piece of metal that wares easily. None of this would be a problem BUT the passwo...
Summary: Save your money and by something else (and from a different company). There are so many better cameras out there at this price point. This was a total waste of money and time.
Pros: Cheap, Just O.K. low light, flexible mount
Cons: Poor picture quality, Washed out, Very narrow field of view for a 4mm lens in both the horizontal and vertical directions. Very disappointed with that as the angle of view is basically useless to me unless the camera is mounted a great distance away. Do that and the poor picture quality and grain...
Summary: Smaller viewing angle than I would like, but I am using this to monitor my pets, so it isnt a real issue. I needed tech support to connect the camera to my router, but they were very helpful and clear with their instructions, it took about 30-45 minutes and everything works great.
Summary: Works great, been using them as a lower cost solution for a while now. The free software for NVR management from TrendNet is a major cost savings as well. Not terrific in low light, but for the price, hard to beat.
Cons: 1. No white balance, in area where there are lots of sunshine, the image will be washed out to white. 2. Be aware when you are changing the default user name and password (you should do so), the camera might lock you out after you changed your password /username. Hard reset of camera does not wor...
Summary: This IP camera has features that many of the same price range lack. The IR system works well, but not if it is near a window- the reflection will cause it to blur. If there is a bit more than ambient light outside, however, it degrades gracefully to a B&W picture that is not too grainy.
Summary: I have actually installed surveillance cameras and DVRs for my employment, but we have not used IP cameras on any of our systems. I needed a camera to monitor a small portion of my property which has had several attempted break ins. Figured for $20 I'd try an IP camera.
Pros: Cheap ... got it on clearance for $20.00 and it hasn't set my home on fire (yet).
Cons: TECH SUPPORT: Camera had beautiful pic out of box, but even set to record motion ONLY, records 2 frames every 3 seconds. Called tech support to show me where I may have missed something in setting up camera. Their first solution was to update firmware. Ok, that along with the inconvenience of cli...
Summary: Don't waste you money on these. Even in ample lighting the video was bad. The main reason I bought this was to check in on the house during the day. The app worked on my phone fine while in the house but had no connectivity outside the house!
Pros: Setup was relatively easy.
Cons: Terrible video resolution and no connectivity outside of house
