Works

Todd S., Newegg
27 March 2009
  • Summary: I had to upgrade the firmware on my router so it would support uPnP. When viewing remotely, be sure to set the refresh interval to something other than "motion", otherwise you will get an error and no connection to your camera. I consider this to be a good purchase.
  • Pros: Works as advertised. Easy setup. Has been very reliable so far. Very thorough documentation.
  • Cons: I wish the image quality was a little better. Doesn't do well in low light.

  • Cons: Picture is not as good as I would have liked. Response time seemed a little slow.

A great network cam!

Shawn D., Newegg
6 August 2008
  • Summary: This camera has been flawless.
  • Pros: Software set itself up for local lan access with one click, set itself up wit the router for internet access with one click, HOW SIMPLE IS THAT! Video is great using a PC on the Lan with the cam, slower but good via internet. Audio is great either way. A GREAT starter cam that works great out of ...
  • Cons: None. Digital zoom is what it is, don't complain about it when it shows in the specs it doesn't come with a zooming lens. Pay for an upper camera if this matters to you.

User Review

Anonymous, Newegg
30 July 2008
  • Summary: Overall I'vm pleased with this camera.
  • Pros: Nice appearance and good construction quality. Easy to set up and operate. Good picture and fair low light response which is better than the Axis 207. Good audio quality.
  • Cons: The motion capture is full screen as there are no user selectable capture windows like the Axis 207W I own. Wishing for a software upgrade which includes this ability.

Looks Good "But Don't Be Fooled".

Arlon K. Christensen, Amazon
12 May 2008
  • Summary: I looked for a camera such as this one for quite a while, don't be fooled by the rating for your digital zoom, it pixles out so bad after just one or two times magification. If, I had known how bad it was I wouldn't have bought two of them.

Happy Owner

maxxpwr, Amazon
4 May 2008
  • Summary: I bought this camera so that the grandparents of my children can watch and hear them play from the other side of the earth. The benefits of something like this is that it is very simple: just connect, set a few things, and anyone with the right login/password can look at the camera and audio...

Great Price to Perfomance Security Camera with GREAT Software!

A. Thomas, Amazon
18 April 2008
  • Summary: Gotta make this short so I'm using bullets. I've owned two of these for over two years. One is used as a grandma cam, the other a dog cam. I've tried the High-end Toshiba and Axis and sent them back because good recording software is critical for later review.

M. joly, Amazon
30 March 2008
  • Summary: does everything and more than i thought. panasonic customer service is the best. but i am not a programer, more than 2 calls to panasonic to get up and running. vista has issues with this item and linksys router too. went to a netgear router and worked with no bugs. downside not plug and play.
