Summary: I run a factory with an old security system. I bought this system with one camera to see if it would work as a replacement video system. I was specifically looking for mobile access to the camera images so that when I got an alarm call in the middle of the night I could pull up the video on my phone before driving to the office. Right out of the box, the router adapter failed. It would not power up.
Summary: The initial indoor camera failed within a year of installation. And although it was replaced free of charge by LT that short life of the camera makes me suspect the quality of the product. The daytime picture is excellent, the night vision not so good. Night time is like looking at a gray puff of smoke in a gray fog. There is way too little to discern by; I doubt anyone can ID a perp using the night vision. Installing and monitoring the camera are big pluses.
Summary: Been using 4 750 n & 2 700 cameras for two years. Wonderful product with access from my iPhone, ipad, office computer, etc.....I would highly recomend this equipment for anyone......easy to set up and good features. Now I want more cameras and hope I can set up a 2nd computer/system....this would make the product fantastic.
Summary: I have had a number of problems with this system. 1. Night vision: with even a small amount of clouds, the camera changes to night vision thus making the image black and white and blurry. There has to be full sun for the camera to stay in daytime mode. 2. Motion detection zones: They simply do not work. The camera picks up birds and insects outside of the zone and will miss a UPS truck driving in my driveway.
Summary: Getting it in place with outside installation when the power is inside takes some creativity. Being able to observe while away through your tablet or laptop is a great feature. The only real knock I'd give it is that Logitech did not, and still does not have Windows 8 drivers up for download. It seems that Windows took care of this as I am now able to view my security system, but when you go to Logitech they still only support up to Windows 7.
Summary: I have had this system for about 2 years and have found it to be very good. I have had very little down time with it. It syncs with my Android Phone easily. Only wish that the the app would include sound capability for it as well. The night vision is very good. Had a problem with night vision and Logitech tech department cleared it up with a firmware upgrade. I would suggest this system to anyone. Very good customer support.
Summary: Needed a simple security camera for the home that allowed for motion detection, recording and remote viewing from anywhere in the world where I have access to the Internet. I did not want to run cables and I dismissed super expensive and super cheap systems. This system seemed to be the best compromise of features and cost, and simplicity of installation. It took 30 minutes to set up and has been running for a week with no major problems.
Summary: PROS: Setup was a breeze. Image quality is more than adequate and fairly fluid via live viewing. Camera itself feels solid and well made. Looks impressive. Alert Commander software is extremely user friendly. Tested the free Logitech Alert Web Viewer iOS app on a 3G network (iPhone 4 and iPad 2), and also the Android app for the Kindle Fire HD and all appear to work flawlessly.
