Summary: ***To the other reviews, yes you CAN watch live camera footage for free; it's just recordings that require a subscription. No it DOES NOT cost a fortune for a subscription, it's pretty reasonable actually.
Pros: Great cameras, can view live cameras for free on the logitech alert site or mobile app. Can use third-party software. Can view live cameras when you're on site with VLC Media Player, which is quite very handy. Logitech updates the software and the camera firmware once in a while, and I have notic...
Cons: No static IP support in the software -- have to do that in your router instead, which is't a huge deal, but it definitely is a major oversight. Setting how much drive space to use to store video is a little flaky. Watching recorded data (with a subscription) could be programmed better; it's kind ...
Summary: Waste of time and investment. I purchased the camera in Dec 2013 from Amazon via a third party reseller (brand new item). Camera was installed Jan 2013. Stopped working October 2013. Contacted Logitech to get assistance... I was essentially given the finger since I purchased it "second hand".
Summary: I have several homes and was looking for a system to have video surveillance at each of them in an integrated way. This system did the job. I am a mac guy, and the newer mac software works fine. You have to download it from the ITunes store. Set up is easy.
Summary: After reading some of the wonky reviews of the security camera system I was skeptical about purchasing it. I checked other systems out against it, and finally decided to take a chance. The system works amazingly well.
Summary: Just an fyi, you can use this camera without the master pack. Use the included software to find the IP or check your dhcp log. I use BlueIris to view and record this cam and that software also lets you view over the web.
Pros: Night vision is excellent. Can be used with standard poe and third party software. Comes with many mounting applications
Cons: Motion is blurry. Worse at night. No security when used with third party software. Limited advanced settings. You can't use static IP, very basic picture settings.
4-Stars for the Logitech Alert system, 2-Stars for this camera

Summary: I was having problems with a crazy neighbor, and shopping around for an affordable security camera system resulted in the purchase of Logitech Alert. I got this camera and three of the outdoor models - one of which I actually have inside. I really wish I had gone with all outdoor cameras.
Summary: I have 2 homes in Hawaii and Austin. I have this system mainly to monitor our Texas property 10 months of the year in our absence. When I set it up initially and returned to Hawaii, the option to view the cameras disappeared from Logitech's web site.
Pros: High quality video capture with good software. Powerline connections.
Cons: As everyone points out, you must purchase the annual and expensive subscription to access important camera functionality, Powerline adapters are bulky, Unrealiable.
Summary: I've had good and not so good experiences with Logitech products. Some of them work flawlessly out of the box and continue working for years. But there have been a few times when I've purchased something and I got the sense that Logitech had overreached.
Easy to use and update, but some handy features are omitted

Summary: After having quite a bit of time to try out this camera and the camera, I think I finally have enough experience with it to write a reasonable review. Just like the best camera is the one you have with you when you need it, the best security system is the one that you can actually use.
Summary: Bought the logitech Alert 750i master, it worked perfectly until i decided to add a second camera in a different room. The add-on camera did not work unless it was placed in the same room where the master was. Called customer service, they told me the issue was my existing electrical wiring.
