some what dissapointed

Summary: I bought this camera master so that I could watch my truck. the ease of installation is great. I have watched on the video my truck get broken into 5 times. None of the times has the camera given a good enough visual of the thief for me to make out who they were. When the police reviewed the videos, they recommend I get a better system. I have had this camera zoomed in as far as it would go, and still I get a bad video.
Summary: Cameras keep dropping off the network and it takes a re-boot to get them back on-line. SIMM card errors are frequent as well. Software package is well designed and easy to use. Alerts and camera control work well. Image quality is good and motion setup area is very good. Too bad this system and it's cameras are not reliable, otherwise it would be 5 starts.
Summary: My house was broken in and robbed in Oct'12 so I decided to buy surveillance cameras for monitoring while away. Initially I bought from Costco a set of Uniden cameras but immediately realized that its software was mulfunctioning and resolutoin was too poor to be of any real use, therefore returned them. After consulted with friends, I bought a set of Logitech cameras - one 750e outdoor master, one 750n outdoor add-on, and 2 indoor 700n add-ons.
Summary: The cameras themselves are much better then the older WiLife cameras, but the software is pathetic. The cameras do not record enough. They always fall short of recording an entire event, thus worthless as a security camera, and extremely fustrating. Seems like something that would be very easy to fix ... just increase the amound of time the camera records when it detects movement. Allow the user to adjust this timer to their preference.
Summary: I bought this and an add-on 700e outdoor camera. Both were easy to mount with the provided hardware. The kit even comes with screwable guides to tuck the ethernet cable to the power supply. Having a drill would be handy to pre-drill the screw holes for mounting the camera. After downloading the software via Logitech's website I was able to update the firmware on my two cameras and was up and running in minutes. Video quality is excellent.
Summary: Live video and stll alerts work ok. The stills are highly compressed to less than 50 kB so quality suffers. Playback worked well with the free trial, but after paying $80., and wasting an hour or two I sill cannot get it back. The camera hardware looks to be of high quality. The software contains hidden buttons- thanks guys. You have to know where to tap before they appear. Goofy.
Summary: .I bought this camera system hoping that it would work on my mac but it don't oh it says it will but what they don’t say is you can only view it on a mac just like you can on a web browser this is 1 big disappointment, 2nd. you can't set times to go into a more of a motion detection state like set it to go to 100% from 9pm-6am and 50% the other times due to animals and birds as well as the ability to set the camrea to record longer if motion sets it off. 3rd.
Pretty good for the most part - New update added for 2014!

Summary: I've been waiting for an inexpensive HD security system to come out. This system is pretty good and, for the most part, does what I want it to do. SETUP: Setup isn't too bad. Just remember to read the directions but there are a few gotchas such as, you can't plug the camera side or the network side plugs into a power strip because of the circuitry screws up the data making it out of the power strip. This leads to the first problem I have.
