Summary: Bought this system directly from the Logitech web site. Two outdoor cameras have been up for 3 years now and working fine. Just wanted to pass on the reminder that you should plug the network adapter directly into the wall socket and not a power strip or surge protector that somehow reduces the signal such that the cameras won't be detected.
Summary: I installed two Logitec Alert Outdoor cameras after trying the Agasio A603W wireless network cam (different review). The logitec cams have a far wider angle and highter resolution. Signal is conducted via the 115V power lines via interface adapters to the PC. Included software works great and automatically archives recordings from activations.
Summary: I bought this camera master so that I could watch my truck. the ease of installation is great. I have watched on the video my truck get broken into 5 times. None of the times has the camera given a good enough visual of the thief for me to make out who they were. When the police reviewed the videos, they recommend I get a better system. I have had this camera zoomed in as far as it would go, and still I get a bad video.
Summary: I purchased my system 3 years ago, have been extremely happy with this product, I have since added 2 additional cameras and set up a second system at our vacation home. I did have one camera go bad and one power supply go bad. I contacted product support and they promptly replaced both items. The few times that I have contacted logitech support, they have been very helpful. Logitech has been a pleasure to work with.
Summary: Cameras keep dropping off the network and it takes a re-boot to get them back on-line. SIMM card errors are frequent as well. Software package is well designed and easy to use. Alerts and camera control work well. Image quality is good and motion setup area is very good. Too bad this system and it's cameras are not reliable, otherwise it would be 5 starts.
Summary: I have purchased over 150 items on Amazon and have only had an issue with two. Unfortunately this is one of them. Lasted 11 1/2 months and then my computer couldnt find the camera anymore. I tried resetting it and followed all instructions but to no avail. Warranry was 1 year but I waited to long to call. Loved the product while it worked but for that price it should last longer than 11 months. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Summary: We live in a townhouse right adjacent to the street. There have been some incidents, nothing major, but cars broken into and planters stolen from the front two of the townhouses. I got this security camera to see what was going on and maybe get an idea of who was doing these things. I bought this camera because of its 24 hour capabilities and HD features. It wasn't as great as I thought it would be.
Summary: This product had severe issues connecting and it ultimately failed. I was able to connect to the camera and read the video stream, but their software never recognized the product. I spent two weeks with their support and never got past: Uninstall the software and reinstall it. For a high-end product, their support staff isn't trained to handle advanced technical issues and I wouldn't trust my home's security with this company.
Summary: I bought 5 cameras in my system and after having read the reviews was not really sure what to expect. Some people had a lot of problems getting reliable connections and my brother, who has a system that connects over a wireless between 2 houses, told me that there can be some tricks.
Summary: I have had the cameras (now three) for over a year. They cover the driveway and front yard. On four different occasions, people have come up to my vehicles in the driveway to see if they were unlocked. They quickly moved on. I provided the video to the police. They were able to locate and convict one of the individuals who stole from other neighbors using my video. We live in a very safe neighborhood. I was amazed at the nighttime activity.
