Summary: Never worked wireless. I tried many times and contacted support about 4 times. I waited a long time to get someone everytime I called. There was not support from the manufacturer. Finally I gave up. I don't have the patience to waste time when they did not know what was wrong. Real garbage.
Summary: Don't buy this product, its outdated and doesn't work properly with the security systems in todays Operating Systems. So you have to leave the security off to make it work. It was so outdated we had to give up on it. Even with a Wireless G router.
Summary: I would give this a ZERO star if I could. The internet cam is a pile of junk. I began setting up the camera, and as I got to the end the found out the junk did not work at all.. SAVE YOUR MONEY, buy another one.
Summary: I wish I could give it a negative number.
Camera arrived defective. Would not connect wirelessly. Software only works with XP! Called customer support - Linksys agent said he would have to charge me! Camera had arrived 30 minutes ago .. new in the box ... and the customer support agent wanted to charge me for his support. I hung up on the guy .. tried the chat line .. guy was nice ... but after 1 hour he even agreed the thing was dead on arrival.
Summary: I have two Linksys IP cameras. This one was a terrible disappointment. The other one is fine. As stated by others, the WVC54GC only works with ActiveX in an Internet Explorer browser. No Firefox. I had to call support to find out how to get images to show in Internet Explorer. (They were responsive and nice...) Had to override two settings in Internet Explorer...
The camera did come with a complete manual - in Spanish. No English manual. I don't speak Spanish yet...
Summary: Overlooking the fact that one of the cameras arrived without a power supply, I set the other two up. There are some bugs in the software that caused the PC to error out. After a reasonably straightforward setup, the cameras eventually worked for about an hour before dropping off the system and becoming invisible to the router until powered down and up. This happened repeatedly, Tech Support sent me updated firmware but this appeared to make things worse.

Summary: I bought this because I have been using other Linksys products and am happy with them but this product was a disappointment. I was able to set it up and was able to view it through my computer on the local network but when I went to set it up to be viewed from work or allow my parents to see their grandchild (the main reason I bought this product), it did not work. Repeated calls to Linksys was unsuccessful. After the tenth call, I gave up and sold it on eBay.
Summary: Unless you have money to waste, don't buy this product. This camera is difficult to configure (the interface is below even the lowest standards of Microsoft), and only works with Internet Explorer. The specialty viewing software supplied with this camera never worked on my Dell computer, so I can only assume it is equally as bad as the camera itself.
Summary: Spent many hours trying to set this thing up. Tech support is a joke. They are clueless. The problem is that the software version being sent with the camera is an old version that barely works--and they have no updated version. After many hours of talking with tech support, product did not work as advertised. Amazon should drop carrying this item. Spend the extra 50 bucks and get a camera that works.
