Summary: Once upon a time, Linksys and Cisco were great American brands. Apparently they are now coasting on an expired reputation. This camera was not too difficult to set up (although you need a Windows PC to do it; afterward anything with a web browser can get the video).
Dead after less than 100 hours of working. Bad purchase!

Summary: I used this cam as a pet monitor when leaving the house on short travels. Although I have the cam for some 2 years, it was connected for no more than 100 hours total. During my last travel, I noticed that suddenly I cannot access the device over the network. Had to call somebody to check on the cat.
Summary: This camera has been nothing but problems. When I first received it, I set it up and it functioned okay. The video is acceptable during the daytime when there's plenty of light, but the video quality quickly degrades when the sun goes down and there's only artificial light.
Ok for viewing but software and motion detection could be better
29 November 2009
Summary: Software that comes with the camera isn't that great. I was able to connect to the camera wirelessly within a few minutes to view the image but getting it setup to record on detecting motion didn't work for me.
Summary: I suffered with these cameras for a year, before I could take it no longer! They were difficult to set up to work wirelessly, and twice I had to pay Linksys $9.99 for suppport to do it for me.
Summary: Camera failed to find wireless network, despite being in same room as router and other wireless devices connected ok. Connected camera using wired connection to test software features and video quality.
Summary: Be warned... the security certificate for LinksysViewer.cab (the ActiveX component needed to view video over the web) expired on July 11, 2009 and still has not been updated (current firmware version V1.00R24).
Summary: I installed the camera successfully, and can view it over the internet. What I do not like about it is that once you connect to the camera, all security information about your network are shown. You can even see the WPA2 security token and SSID.
Summary: Simply put, this is the most disappointing Linksys product I have ever owned. It is clearly not ready for production and Linksys should have taken more time to develop it properly. I purchased this item primarily for the "motion detection" feature which emails pictures after motion is detected.
Summary: I bought this item from Best Buy and kept it a week before returning it. When I could get the camera connected it was an Ok product. It's Video quality is ok for about 5 feet then it gets very pixelated, it's NOT even the quality of a USB WEB cam.
