Excerpt: Bought this camera to experiment a bit with home surveillance. The setup is easy and the camera seems to have good quality. So far the only problem is related to the bolt that holds the camera to the bracket. It is made of weak metal. The first time I tried to adjust the camera after installing it, that bolt broke right in the middle. I did not even bother calling the manufacturer.
Summary: You will probably need to add a WiFi signal repeater to ensure solid connectivity if you have a standard WiFi setup in your home. Just don't get the HooToo HT-WR01.........yow, what a pile. Camera is great though.
Pros: Easy setup, install.
Cons: Motion detection a little flaky, but pretty good overall. Night vision works well with the IR. A little blurry/grainy, but pretty good for $85.
Summary: This is something I rarely give - a mixed review. The hardware itself is really very reasonable for the money, it's nice and solid (thick aluminium) and gives good, clear images in all light down to zero lux. It works and is easy to install. Unfortunately, even though it's a wireless camera, there's a big, thick cable coming from the back of it.

Summary: I have a couple of these, one of them has been running 24/7 for around 18 months completely fault free. I have the on my network and I'm able to see what's going on around my house anywhere in the world. I use a method called port forwarding and view the video on my Android phone using an app called TinyCam monitor. I fairly straight forward and you will find loads of youtube videos to help you if you get stuck. Grumbles, well I have a couple.
Summary: I read all of the review here bought it with trepidation. Now I begin to lose my temper with it The WLAN was not hard to set up, but a lot of rebooting was needed. I've had it four days now an still cannot get it to work good enough to mount it as I fear I'll just have to take it straight down again PROS:- Picture is decent, it is solid and probably robust. The night vision is good.
Summary: Foscam have this annoying habit of having 2 firmwares for the same camera. eg from their website / email: FI8904W - Version 188.8.131.52 - Upgrading from 11.25.2.xx Download FI8904W Latest Firmware FI8904W - Version 184.108.40.206 - Upgrading from 11.35.2.xx Download FI8904W Latest Firmware So if you dont buy all of the cameras at onces but buy them as and when you need them like I did - you end up with some cameras on 1 firmware and others on another.
Summary: Have Had problems with connectivity, i plug this into Ethernet and it worked fine with no problems but after a couple of months it started to loose connectivity and it is a struggle to get back running, I don't know if this is to do with my router but this on one problem that I have had, otherwise a great camera!
Summary: Nice camera, easy to setup following instructions. Power Cable could be longer as this is an outdoor camera. I have hung it up on the first floor on the outside wall and even though the range is 20m, it is not 20m for motion detection. I was dissapointed with this whereby the motion detection works between 5 and 7 meters. And when you receive an image, you cannot identify the person from that distance.
Summary: Great camera for price! Very very poor mounting bracket! Mounting bolt made of light alloy type material and snapped while trying to lock camera in position. I managed to cobble together a fixing though.
