Locks up constantly

David W., Newegg
12 March 2014
  • Pros: Good picture when it's working.
  • Cons: I have 3 of these, all of them lock up constantly. Need to reboot them daily to keep getting pics. Firmware upgrade didn't help.

No scheduled photos

Edward T., Newegg
10 February 2014
  • Summary: There is no way to schedule ftp or email photos and I don't want to build a mechanical device to pass in front of the lens on schedule.
  • Pros: Good high resolution video, compact size, no wireless issues so far.
  • Cons: No matter what I do, I can't make it send email.

Awesome for the price

Jonathan R., Newegg
31 December 2013
  • Pros: Image quality is fantastic - great wide angle view. Works well with Blue Iris software.
  • Cons: No night vision and frame rate is too low at the highest resolution but I'm sure that varies depending on location of router/power of computer.

It should be better

Edward T., Newegg
27 September 2013
  • Summary: I've already wasted too much time with this camera. Doesn't any manufacturer have quality control anymore?

Edimax IC3115W with BlueIris

edward l., Newegg
23 July 2013
  • Pros: Was looking for a MEGAPIXEL ip camera and saw this on sale for a good deal. Took the small plunge and I must say I amVERY happy. I currently have this running with BlueIris (Windows) and Barry's LiveCams Pro (iOS) and a few other Apps (Android). I've only had item for a month and it seems like a good bang for your buck if you use it in a BlueIris setup. Very nice and clear for daytime mounted indoors behind the window or somewhere else up high indoors. Haven't tried a...
  • Cons: Wish wireless antennae was readily detachable since all my cams are wired and on their own network. Didn't see an option to overlay the time and date. Wish web firmware as better but it's not all that important for my BlueIris setup. Set my passwords, video resolution, and to DHCP (static set by my pfSense router) is all I really need.
