Summary: I am somewhat pleased with the product. Set up was easy and it's nice having the sd card to record to. The app for the iPhone could be better plus apple doesn't support jvav which is the main platform dlink uses.
Excerpt: The pics from the camera are pretty good. It automatically switches from day to night mode (that can be unstableness and a pain when the light is on the fringe of switching. The cam is constantly swapping modes). The setup was easy and the mobile app is ok on both iOS devices and Android but not great. The biggest complaint is that is often shuts down and must be rebooted to recover to operating mode. My Dlink 932 camera doesn't do this.
Excerpt: The concept of the mydlink is great, however, it does not work as seamless as the advertisement states. The app for both the iPad and iPhone just got updated, and it is now awful. The camera set up s quick but you need to get into advanced settings, this is not so easy. Many errors and redoes to get it right. Cameras loose connection often, sometimes making camera not visible when needed most.
Excerpt: This is potentially a great product. Tech that I contacted seems to have less knowledge than me. They do not seem to have a clue and sometimes evasive. I Was about to return the product to the store, then I tried by myself & get it to work--I wish tech supp could have helped. The packaging seems simple but you have to be a tech person to configure, if you need to get alerts on your e-mail, etc.
Cons: Difficult To Set Up, Hard To Use, Not like the package says, Unreliable
Excerpt: OK, this is a very cool product. I have purchased and setup two of these to help monitor my home. I just want to document a few of the issues I ran into. 1) Both of the cameras I bought appear to have been used. They were in perfect shape, but I could tell they were unpackaged before. Also, the password on each camera had been set, so I had to do a hard reset to get past the password screen.
Pros: Easy to do basic setup, Good image quality, Good night viewing
