Summary: First, it's possible that maybe I just got a dud. However, from reading other reviews, it seems I'm not alone. I could replace this camera with another, but instead, I'll get a refund and search for another model. Still, the features I could see looked nice, even if they weren't able to actually work. Here are some problems I faced.
Summary: I bought a pair of DCS-920s in mid-2010 and was quite pleased with their performance and value. In Nov 2012 I needed a third camera so came back to Amazon to get another 920. None were available but the 930L was listed as the "new model", so I ordered one. While D-Link may consider it a replacement, it is inferior in very important ways.
Summary: Read all the customer reviews before ordering. For many customers, the D-Link DCS-930L set appears to have been seamless. But for those like myself with a Mac, the set-up process was so difficult, frustrating, fulls of bugs, and ultimately unsuccessful that I finally gave up. I followed the included instructions, downloaded updated firmware from the D-Link web site, and even received 45+ minutes of assistance over the phone from friendly D-Link customer service reps, but...
Summary: Purchased this because I want to keep an eye on my sump pit and it works to my expectations. It needs some light in order to work, it's not pitch black down there but basement window isn't giving off enough light for it to work! When light is on works great! I put the app on my Android phone and 3g service is a little slow to stream video, WiFi makes it a little better but still slow to start. For what I need it for its great.
Summary: I bought two of these cameras. I'd have to echo the comments in the other reviews. These camera frequently loose their wireless connections and also knocks out the wireless on my Belkin N router that had no problems before installation of the cameras.
Summary: I purchased this product two weeks ago based on price, features and D-link's overall reputation. In short, it's tough to set up if you want wireless (I do) and have named your wireless network in such a way that includes a space. For instance "Bobs Network." The software will not allow you to setup for wireless.
Think before you buy if your port 80 is occupied or unavailable

Summary: Note: this review is for those port 80 is unavailable. It should be easy to setup if your port 80 is available. However, mine doesn't. I emailed to D-Link tech support and see if they have any solution, first, they replied and just told me to use another port, that is! No further info. Then I email them again, explained what I had done, and I could see it using the IP address:port from the browser, but i couldn't see anything in mydlink.com and the iphone app.
Summary: Was great to start with. But annoying having to update it constantly.. and it's stopped sending jpgs of motions captured by email... so by the time you get an alert of movement and check it on your app theres nothing to see as they have cleared off!
