Excellent camera in all respects save lack of mobility

Abe Eskenazi "Unhappy Consumer", Amazon
23 October 2014
  • Summary: Excellent camera for this price. My only criticism is that D-Link does not manufacture an outdoor mobile camera with the HD and night vision capabilities. It does render a "fish eye" view, but wish it would also possess tilt/mobility for panning as well.

Easy to install/Great Picture Quality

Anonymous, Newegg
9 October 2014
  • Summary: Two things to watch out for with the install. 1. The mounting plate is buried under a piece of cardboard and is hard to find. I almost sent the camera back because it took awhile to find the plate. 2. As mentioned, the web interface only works with IE.
  • Pros: 1. Greate picture quality. Does 1900/1200(15fps) in 4x3 mode. 2. Easy to install. 3. POE eliminates the need to run a power line to camera.

Easy Set up but lacks Picture Quality

Anonymous, Newegg
27 April 2013
  • Summary: While this camera is rated as 2mp, it didn't come close in resolution quality to the other five 2mp cameras I currently have installed and running.
  • Pros: This camera was easy to set up and worked right out of the box. Mounting was a breeze and it has every conceivable cable known to man available for connecting.
  • Cons: In bright sunlight, the image is fine. I was dissapointed though to find the image quickly blure and lose all quality just as the sun set. I was able to compare this camera to an old Dlink DCS-3220 which has much better low light sensitivity, but no IR of course. The old 3220 worked until dark in...
