Pretty good camera, wireless is hopelessly unreliable.

Summary: I have four of these in a multi-camera small business setup. The beauty of these is that if you have a small business, and you have one camera well placed, it will cover your entire business - I have multiple rooms and pillars/walls in my way, so I needed more than one. The camera resolution is good, and this camera works very well when wired.
Excerpt: Very cumbersome browser based control software. Requires several plug-ins to be installed, very minimalistic. The Android application is not better either. Not worth the high price. Having a good camera is one thing, managing it is another.Still figuring out with their customer support how to make it easy manageable.
Excerpt: I have installed all sorts of cameras from Mobotix to Vivotek to Panasonic. I'm not a fan of dlink but this camera was super easy to install and add to the network. The Apple app for the iPad and iPhone work great. Some times there is a video lag but that could due to the slow 3G network. I with the lens was 3 or 5 megapixel or had greater magnification. We use this camera to monitor our house and our miniature schnauzer.
Don't bother, buy something else if your using wifi, disconnects frequently

Summary: The camera quality is great however it CONSTANTLY disconnects from the network. I have mine located a mere 20 feet from my router and it still can't stay connected. You must reset it everyday or even multiple times per day. What kind of security is that? I even tried using an appliance timer so it restarts everyday automatically but it can't make it 24 hours anyways. Very annoying. I'm past the Amazon return date however this one will be selling cheap on an auction site.
Excerpt: These network cloud cameras are nice, I bought 2. I did notice when I opened the shipped box that one of cameras wrapping was already open and with closer inspection one of the cameras was used. After installing I had to go to the mydlink cloud and change the cameras owner. Both cameras worked fine. Easy to setup and use otherwise....
Summary: I bought 2 of those cams for a client you wanted wireless security cameras. To be honest, they work better than I thought; normally I stay away from Dlink products because I had a couple of bad experience with them, but those cams seems to be the exception. It can be hard to configure the camera to always record on the SD card and the Mydlink website / mobile app is crap, but still the camera is not that bad.
